The turnovers concern me also because I am not sure yet where we are going to rank rebounding. In preseason we split 3-3-1 in rebounding but that was without Dream, Shandon and Mo in several of the games. If we are turning the ball over more than our opponents, then we better be out rebounding or hitting a higher % of shots. ------------------
Ok...it's the preseason, and even the unskilled get some PT, but come on. Sloppy is as sloppy does. In 7 games, the Rockets have 125 turnovers. That's 17.86 a game, almost .5 more than last year. Yes, the number of games is different, but averages are averages. It doesn't look like much has changed in that regard. Only Chicago (19) Orlando (17.6) were worse at giving the other team the ball. Are we really getting any better at handling the ball? I'll have to wait and see. I wouldn't be so concerned with the number of turnovers, if we could get the same in takeaways. As it shows, Orlando, despite turning the ball over more than Houston was a much better team (record wise). I attribute some of that, because they actually had the ball +.5 more times a game than their opponent, while Chicago at -3.8 was the only team with a worse TO ratio than Houston. What does all this mean...nothing! The team with the most points at the end of the game wins. Of course, if you have the ball more than the other team, your chances of winning could be a little higher. ------------------ In the end there will be no judges...only witnesses to my greatness.
