This was posted by "rangerC" at another bball forum regarding the Steve Francis' turnovers (As well as Cat's and Moochie's), not sure if the stats are true but a interesting fact if so:

Wow. I didn't realize how terrible we are at the guard positions. We need to cut down on the TOs to have a chace this season.

Excellent post/find sabonis. Ive been harping on this point for a while now and this is the true achilles heel of this team. You simply cannot win consistently in this league with 3 piss poor Ast to TO ratio guards like that. If the Rockets do not do something before Feb 20 on the trade front to break that trio up, they simply will NOT make the playoffs.

I'd love to replace Mooch with Kevin Ollie. Great defense, brilliant asst/TO ratio when given minutes, and scores on high percentage shots.

As for Mobley, it's better to do that in the summer. It might have a negative effect on Steve and we might miss the playoffs anyway.

jason kidd turns the over a lot, too. but the difference between kidd and francis is that kidd turns the ball over when attempting to pass the ball to his teammates while francis tries to challenge the whole team.

Mooch isn't so much the problem if you take into consideration that there are 27 teams in the NBA, making him (if taking without factoring anything and without actually looking it up) the 7th best backup PG in the NBA.

The problem remains with the starters. Tonight Francis and Mobley combined for 1 turnover and 9 assists, a little low but we remained competitive with a very good team in Utah.
