what did they need? I think Turkoglu, Calderon, Bosh, bargnani has an interesting feel to it. In addition to being great assist guys, Bosh can give high pts per night while the other 3 can give you ~15/night quite consistently. He's a fairly good slasher too, so now Bosh and turkoglu can play more in the paint and Bargnani can keep shooting his jumpers. I think he will also help defense at Toronto. Is this reasonable? I like him joining them. Certainly better that he stays in the East than joins the Blazers and makes them an instant championship contender (or at least close to it). Him and Roy would have been really interesting to watch.
Nah I dont think that is the full reason why he said no to Portland. He is Turkish I believe(no not saying that because of his last name ha) and I heard he felt he'd fit more into that type of community up there and supposedly his wife loves it there also. That's goiing to be one tall line up. Calderon, ?, Turkoglu, Bargnani, Bosh.
