Any winter olympic fans out there??

Skeleton. Luge. Bobsled. That nordic skiing with a gun event?

I'll be watching. There's just something about the Olympics. Somehow, I always get hooked.

I always enjoy the olympics. I prefer winter to summer and I'm looking forward to watching the opening tonight with my daughter.

I think I actually enjoy the winter sports just a little bit more than the summer olympics. All the downhill events are fun to watch...plus luge and bobseld, figure skating, speed skating, short track...

    ...and then curling! :D

while the summer trio of track & field, swimming, and gymnastics (and then basketball for someone like me) lifts the summer olympics over the winter olympics, i'll definitely still be watching. for some strange reason, every 4 years i really like figure skating. never watch it any other time, but it's high drama for these 2 weeks.

apparently the US team is supposed to be badass, so hopefully they live up to their billing and crush everyone else.

winter olympics suck. i just watch the parade of nations, and hockey. Luge and bobsled, im just not into.

Basketball is actually a winter game, but it's in the summer games.

I'm sorry, but any event in which a man lies ontop of another man in a skin suit going 50mph is freaky gay!

Come on?!?!? The thrill of victory? The agony of defeat? :D

I'd love to fly down a hill in the air the length of two football fields!

ski jumping is okay. skiing and then shooting targets is boring.
figure skating is uh... well. it's figure skating.

curling... come to my kitchen and do that or my garage to do that.

that Luxembourg figure skating chick is kinda cute.

i guess it says something about the spread of American culture that in a history rich country like italy, the music of the opening ceremonies has been exclusively American pop music (mostly 80's). plus, in the last two olympics our team has received a big ovation when entering b/c apparently people abroad like Americans, even if they don't necessarily like America. that seems cool.

Time Warner's HD channel sucks. It's all over the place. The analog station works fine, of course.

I was just watching opening ceremonies on Tivo and it appears the US walking of the flag was cut short. I wonder if they were getting the boo birds? I didn't see the initial lady walk with the country sign. It's like they skipped that part, had a few shots of them walking, and that was it. Maybe I'm imagining this... . Nah...we we're snubbed for a reason and now there is a cover-up through the magic of editing. Maybe I missed something...? We got downplayed. Damn I'm arrogant. USA! USA! ;)

For my area, the US walkout was over 5 minutes long. I'm not sure why Brian Williams keeps talking politics about some of the countries. It's a sporting event. What's the point of bringing up the Denmark cartoons, human rights in China, or how the Iranian president wants to destroy Israel. Totally unneccessary. Giving us a tidbit about each countries' sporting prowess is enough. At least Bob Costas was keeping it light.
