Fake News That is Chicago, Democrat stronghold. Those individuals are just looking out for themselves, thats the libtard way there. I wont hate too much though, I understand those two are probably conditioned that way. You get conditioned like that when you live in the murder capital of America, a place absolutely infested with gangs, crime, & bad politics.
Went to a Braves game as a kid and the T-shirt guy flipped me a shirt. Guy next to me reached over and snatched it from me and immediately ran away never to be seen again (this was 5th inning or so of a good game). I wasnt upset since I'm not a Braves fan, but what a dick. At 2015 Wild Card game in NY, a Yankees fan gave my boys a HR ball from batting practice. Southern kindness vs. Northern jerks, eh?
Too late, bro. Jesus H, triggered much? And you have no idea of the politics of your average cubs fan or the politics of the rude guys in that clip. Neither do I. Difference is I don't care and I don't think one event at a baseball game is particularly meaningful or saying anything about Trump or Democrats. I am an apologist for the OP, but this thread is kinda on the dumb side. The only thing worse than thinking Tweets are intellectually worthwhile is thinking a short video clip is worthwhile for a larger discussion.
Good for deadspin. Lord but I hate shame mobs in all their stripes. I feel like I work in the middle of a triggered liberal shame mob sometimes. Sigh.
Wow, this thread is stupid even accounting for Trump Derangement Syndrome. The guy had already caught a foul ball and given it to that exact kid a few innings earlier so he decided to give that one to different kid after his wife took a photo with it....he also gave away 2 or 3 more foul balls to other kids sitting nearby. Of course, we now live in a fake news culture so what really happened doesn't matter, just the narrative and spin matter. This is part of the reason why I've had an increasingly difficult time taking just about anyone in the D&D seriously lately, you crazy kids need to check yourselves.
You're in SF right? That's basically one gigantic, smelly, wet, shame mob. With iPhones. Watching that video again, you can see the mother gesturing to her left, she seems to be indicating that the boys seated next to them should get one. Ball was clearly meant for the kid though.
Historically, Cubs fans are much more wealthy and white, White Sox fans are poor minorities. Not sure how much that still stands. I didn't think OP was ACTUALLY saying that this guy was a Trump supporter, but rather he is using the exchange to illustrate a point, just as nobody actually believes "overly attached girlfriend" actually said all of the things attached to her meme photo, but rather her creepy eyes help tell a story.
At a baseball game, anything going into the stands is a free for all and always has been. The only real exception I have seen is if a player identifies someone and explicitly tells everyone to give it someone. I have caught a lot of balls in the past, and usually give them to a child that seems particularly into the game.... except a Barry Bonds homer, that MOFO is mine.
Usually, but the front row is a little different as it isn't nearly as random. Having never caught a ball during a game, I'm going to put myself in there and probably keep the ball (if it was a HR against the Astros would be the most likely exception).
I didn't realize that cubs fans were all Dems and no Reps. You would think it would be the other way around given that cubs grow up to be big Bear like in Russia!
