They want to leak and work against the Biden admin from the inside for many reasons. Most importantly for them is for 2022 and 24 to get Republicans back in office by having multiple Benghazis. Again and again everything with Trump and the Repugs is projection. The “deep state” idea didn’t come from thin air. That theory came from Repug conspiracy theorists and their propaganda networks because that’s what they would do. Whose the “Deep State” now?
Dig deeper and after 4 years, you realize that the so called “deep state” DOES exists. It’s law and order, civil servants, and elected officials that do their job right. Trump and co are corrupted so this deep state (which btw extend pass the fed gov and into state gov, including for example, GA’s SoS) is bad bad news for them and was in their way. Now, it makes sense that he would install characters that is aligned to him, some that has little to no ethics and is likely corrupted. Part of restoring the many institutions degraded over the last 4 years included getting rid of political characters installed by Trump and co. I hope they do a throughly job of cleaning house.
I agree and the sooner they purge those anti-democratic activists/agents the better. Biden cannot pu$$yfoot around it. Be bold about going hard early at removing these guys. Right now there is no goodwill intent from these guys like Patel. There's going to be so much fake outrage by the Repugs early on anyways so you need to do the heavy lifting early.
They shouldn't be POLITICALLY on the same page. While they may hold political views, civil servants work for the gov, not for any political party. They are long term employees that span across multiple administrations. Their career should be advanced based on their merit or ended based on poor performance. As soon as you start appointing political figures into this field, you are going to end up with political infighting and with institution that work for political party, not for the gov. Imagine political polarization within these departments. Imagine if Dr. Fauci was political. All political appointments should be removed. Schedule F EO should end.
