eh he has a $11 mil contract which is expiring after 2010-2011...if we somehow get the 10th pick and give up like a battier+jeffries or something i wouldnt mind

especially if we use hill in another trade, murphy would be a good back up pf..and then we can maybe resign him for cheap later

I don't see us getting the 10th pick from them. It looks like they want a pg for that.

No way they're giving up Granger, we have no need for Troy Murphy on this squad.

Bird rang 20 teams, and 20 teams replied "Hell, no". End of story.

I think Murphy can be a pretty solid backup PF/C.

Considering what we'd have to give up I'd say no. If this guy came with an easy price tag, say Jeffries + Andersen + fillers sure. But if we're giving up something major for a PF (no way he Adelman even thinks about putting him at center against the Western Conference teams) I'd say no thanks.

Basically if it's a salary dump on the part of the Pacers yes, if not, no grassy-azz.

would not bother me at all if it cost, Battier+Jefferies+Lowry+Picks for Murphy+Granger+#10. Heck I put Ariza in the deal as well if I can get Jones.

I'd like to see something along the lines of:

Ariza, Hill, 2 1st round picks, fillers
    for
    Granger, Murphy

People do realize Murphy is an expiring contract, right? Indiana's not dumping his salary you know? So stop it with the "we get Granger for taking Murphy off your hands" type of trades.

I see no point in going after Troy Murphy.

Some of these folks act like outright homers, eh?

7 more days... then another week until FA signings...

I made a pretty logical thread on why Murphy could be a nice fallback if the Rockets don't land any of the top PFs this offseason.

HOWEVER, there's no damn way they are packaging their two best players in the same trade unless they're getting LeBron and Wade.

He is the rich man's David Andersen.

Did I forget to mention the "rich man" is a Billionaire?
