If posted already, forgive me. O'neal Jackson feud. And apparently it has just begun to heat up. SLANT: O'neal needs a coach that understands players better. One that won't fuss about his poor FT production. Rudy T maybe? I'd give up francis, griffin and cato and picks for O'neal.

You would give up your future for a 30 year old center? Not saying he is old, but Shaq isn't going to be playing all that much longer at the level he is playing now. He is taking less and less care of himself, and is getting injured more. He is playing through injuries now. No way would I trade away a franchise PG and franchise big man who can play PF and center for Shaq, especially since you would be killing depth, cap space, chemistry, and the future to get Shaq because it's going to take more then what you proposed to get him. The Rockets would likely have to deal Griffin, Francis, Mobley, Cato, Willis and Mo to make up for Shaq's contract. Let him stay in LA.

Yes I know RM. Here is a potential offer accepted by real GM.

Houston trades: Kelvin Cato $6,048,000 to L.A. Lakers
Houston trades: Steve Francis $3,473,520 to L.A. Lakers
Houston trades: Glen Rice $8,800,000 to L.A. Lakers
Houston trades: Walt Williams $5,000,000 to L.A. Lakers
    TOTAL: $23,321,520

L.A. Lakers trades: Robert Horry $5,300,000 to Houston
L.A. Lakers trades: Shaquille O'neal $21,428,572 to Houston
    TOTAL: $26,728,572

    Trade Accepted.

I would do this deal in a heartbeat. Our logjam at sf makes this deal viable IMO. Then put Moochie at the point.

Rice and Phil don't get along

Houston trades: Maurice Taylor $6,500,000 to L.A. Lakers
Houston trades: Walt Williams $5,000,000 to L.A. Lakers
Houston trades: Cuttino Mobley $4,413,375 to L.A. Lakers
Houston trades: Kelvin Cato $6,048,000 to L.A. Lakers
    TOTAL: $21,961,375

L.A. Lakers trades: Shaquille O'neal $21,428,572 to Houston
    TOTAL: $21,428,572

    TRADE ACCEPTED

    Rockets
    1. Norris/Brown
    2. Francis/Torres
    3. Rice/Morris/Langhi
    4. Thomas/Griffin
    5. O'Neal/Willis/Collier

    Lakers
    1. Mobley/Hunter/Fisher*
    2. Bryant/Richmond/Shaw
    3. Fox/George/Williams
    4. Horry/Medvedenko/Taylor*
    5. Cato/Walker/McCoy

We'd probably have to throw into a couple of first rounders too.

LA wont consider a deal unless houston gives up francis. And even then, it's a longshot. I do like the mo switch, but then again why would la want an injuried player for the best player on the planet. Make no mistake, o'neal commands far greater deals than a few scubs and one above-average sg. They would want -and get - more than market value from many, many teams in the league.

Some of these trade proposals are just bogus..I guess there's a downside after all to Real GM

Shaq always does these little rants. He loves the attention and the reactions.. He's not going to be traded anytime soon. And no, I personally don't think Francis and mobley are worth trading for Shaq as the Lakers will have no use for a 1/2 when they have Medvedenko and Horry at the 5.

Alright Barron of all things NBA, please enlighten us poorly educated trolls on how you gain such a superior foresight. And while you're at it, show us the way to the NBA championship with your special skills at trading players.

Kobe would be traded before Shaq. Like they say, you can't teach height.

I would take Outlaw's trade...and we'd probably win the NBA championship this year....but we'd piss Steve off, and there's no way the lakers would go for it.

It's painful for both teams, but it doesn't help the Lakers at all - and would help the Rockets. But it's a nice dream Outlaw.

If Shaquille O'Neal ever became a Rocket, I would not just find another favorite team, I'd find another favorite sport.

No way do the Rockets win a championship if they make ANY of the proposed trades. You know that not only would the Rockets have to trade Mobley or Francis, they would have to tgive up Griffin. So in the end, instead of having two franchise players who haven't reached their prime, and a star quality player and the best backcourt in the NBA, you have a center who has already peaked and is due for a downslide, a ticked off franchise PG, and NO future. With Griffin, Francis, and Mobley we have the core for a great team for year to come. Trading away that for Shaq makes us a playoff team now, but not a contender, and screws up our future. Leave the team as is and try to get some big men up front. You saw that even without depth up front we almost beat the Lakers.

As un-evidenced by Shaq's just as marketed personality.

Shaq has made two movies, has a huge shoe deal with Reebok, 3 rap albums, and endorsement deals with many other companies.

    How is Kobe more marketable?

Shaq's movies were long ago and all were busts.
Reebok dumped Shaq . Target sells his shoes for under $30
His only major endorsement currently is Nestle Crunch and he doesn't even talk in those commericials.

Kobe has Addidas, McDonalds, Sprite, etc.

You've got a championship with Shaq.

But honestly, I wouldn't be a Rockets fan anymore. Shaq gets so many calls and is so boring to watch that I would rather wait and try and win a championship with the exciting core of Stevie, Cat, Mo, KT, Moochie, ect.

It may sound stupid but when I see Shaq it makes me sick.

Steve Francis is my favorite player in the NBA and I wouldn't even give up him for Shaq.

I think people get on Shaq's case too f*cking much

'Shaq should get a jump shot" - critisizism

WHY THE F*CK WOULD I WANT SHAQ SHOOTING 17 FOOTERS?
so he can be out of rebounding position? So he can head fake and goto the basket?
    That is utterly ridiculous.

JackAss complains to complain . . .he sets it up so that when the
rockets stomp them in the finals. . . it's shaq's fault and not his
all he does is take credit and avoid responsibility.

I'm on shaq's side in this argue

He is dominant. . . Can he better . . .yes
but he needs more comp to do that . . right now he all alone

    Rocket River
I would not trade Francis for shaq . . .but i would take shaq on my team

I don't see any reason why the Lakers would keep Jackson over O'Neal if it comes to that.

I can't believe anyone actually thinks that they are "feuding" enough for the Laker organization to consider trading Shaq. Jackson would be fired before Shaq traded, not that it would even come to that. If the chemistry issues they faced last year weren't enough to break up the Shaq-Kobe tandem, this sure as hell isn't.

I mean, cmon ... would you have traded Hakeem 10 games into the season after the 2 championships, even if he had said he was mad at Rudy T? I don't think so.

    bunk

PS - quit trying to steal my thunder poodle

Why do people think getting Shaq equals championship? Shaq alone doesn't win a championship. We have Francis, Shaq, and then who else? No supporting cast, depth, experience, or chemistry. Shaq alone DOES NOT equals a championship. And trading for Shaq is more likely to push us to the lottery then the Playoffs because you have to gut your team to get him.
