    i'm glad my dad is a paleoclimatoligist trying to explain to me the delicate balance of salt and water in the atlantic ocean.

    He says we're all fine and have nothing to worry about.

    No, it formed before Jan, 1st. If any new storms develop they will now be named using the 2006 list. It's unusual to have a January storm for sure. Not completely unheard of though.
