Allow me to use your post and link here tinman. I think this really deserves its own thread and I can't change the title of the other main Astroworld thread.
This is so tragic. Travis is done here. I'm sure there'll be some other cities(LA? MIami?) that'll let him put on shows but yeah I don't think he is ever going to be allowed to have another show here. It seems like They kept performing! KEPT PLAYING MUSIC... AS people were getting crushed and they saw Ambulances and medics going into action! No "stop the music" No warnings to the fans?? Just wow. Unbelievable stuff.
Doubt it. He will have another show in Houston within the next 2 years. Sad story, but people are dumb.
The way this was orchestrated by the organizers was ridiculous, if you saw the scenes of people just entering into the area when the gates opened people were knocking down the entrances as they bull rushed the gates, people were getting trampled just going in, it was like a free for all and appeared to be so chaotic. This is tragic and the organizers deserve to be held accountable.........so sad for the lives lost for a dam concert
So what is the COD? Were they all trampled? Ok so I guess people just started collapsing??? Maybe bad drugs laced with fentanyl? I'm just guessing here. If anyone has any other ideas, please share.
This is so tragic. Buzbee et al will sue TS and put him in bankruptcy court. The Jenner curse strikes again.
Exactly what I came here to say. This seems like the most likely scenario, especially after seeing the videos. A lot of blame being placed on Scott and the organizers, and frankly, it seemed super chaotic. Terribly unorganized. But kids and drugs man. You get that many people together, and I'm sure a lot of drugs. Some are bound to be spiked. This was just an inevitability that was going to happen sooner or later.
At first, I was agreeing with this take, but after reading some of the first hand stories, yikes - so much gross negligence. This tragedy is going to get a lot of national play, a lot of lawsuits, a lot of continued coverage. The intersection of public safety, youth entertainment, and culture wars is not going to let this tragedy be forgotten.
How did this not get cancelled the moment the gates were stormed? At that point you effectively have zero crowd control, and you're just asking for a repeat of something like The Who in Cincinnati.
Festival company/planners seriously dropped the ball. I won’t be surprised to see a lot of amateurs and Scott’s homeboys involved as the story comes out. It happens a lot. When I did the Tough Mudder it was a fiasco, not enough medical personnel, concessions ran out for spectators at noon in 100+ temps, so I had to bring my wife and son water from the athlete stations, **** broke, it was a cluster****.
