Not too many people can say they have been inside North Korea, but it looks like I'll be going there for three days this upcoming weekend. Specifically, we'll be visiting Kumgang Mountain ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kumgang_mountain ) which is the easiest way to visit NK. So if you never hear from me again, I've probably been arrested and thrown in a communist prison. Wish me luck.

I can't wait to hear your stories when you get back. Don't forget to share your experiences. And take some photos if you can.
You go to China and visit the NK embassy there. Also, they're usually pretty good about not stamping your passport.
Lucky! I've seriously always wanted to visit N Korea and that's still something I hope to do some day. The fact that they are about 50 years behind the rest of the world fascinates me.
be very careful of what you take pictures of. i also heard theres a restriction on what types of cameras are allowed into north korea (they wont let high tech gadgets in bc they wanna keep their populace in the dark about how backwards the outside world is) also, dont say anything bad against kim jong il or his father kim il sung. man im sure youre gonna get tired, real quick with all the kim jong il and kim il sung praise... if you get a chance to go to pyongyang, try the neng-myun (cold noodles) one of my favorite korean dishes.
fadeaway is Canadian and if I have followed things correctly, he is teaching English in South Korea. Please take some pictures if you can - I'd be really curious to see them.
