Definitely. Old religious values had no guidelines for underage marriages and it was often encouraged during the times those respective scriptures from Islam and Christianity were written. Notable prophets from those Abrahamic faiths married children. Hence why in Muslim countries and Christian conservative states in the US you can legally marry children as long as the parents consent.
