I saw it 3D, but 2.5 hours long... it does hurt... but the other side of the coin... it's only an extra 4-5 dollars for 3D (at least @ AMC theaters)...

    I think I won't watch 3D movies anymore; 2D if available.

But like a sucker, I'll probably watch Harry Potter in 3D

It was the first 3d movie in which I didn't get a headache from. I mean for the extra 4 or 5 bucks it's prob worth it.

Royals, where do you pay 4 dollars extra? I think I only paid 3+ at Tinseltown last Thursday.

Terrible movie. Your money will only encourage more crap like it to be made. Watch "Tree of Life", "X-Men: First Class", or "Thor" if you haven't already.

I've seen probably a half-dozen 3D movies the past couple of years, a couple by choice but most due to timing. Only one of them has been even remotely worth it, and that was Avatar.

3D was very impressive in this movie, esp in the last act.

Yes, although if you already saw it in 2d don't waste your time. It had a few moments of 'cool' but overall it wasn't a must-have, unlike Avatar IMHO.

If you have already seen it you do not need to re-watch it in 3-D unless you want to see the film again anyway.

If you havent seen it I actually recommend 3-D on this film, the only film besides Avatar I would. I generally do not see many movies in 3-D anyway - stupid glasses never seem to fit too comfortably over my regular glasses - mainly because the 3-D is so cheap. Last movie besides this one I saw in 3-D was Thor and that 3-D was horrid.

AMC, it's usually 4 dollars, but their sign says +$4-5 dollars for 3D features

3D in action movies are not worth it especially with fast action movements because you just can follow it. I should know because I work converting 2D to 3D. Avatar is the only 3D movie that was done right that doesn't cause too much headaches. I think 48fps might change that and help push 3D with the release of The Hobbit. They need to shoot the film in higher frame rates for the 3D to work properly. You notice how it takes awhile for your brain to adjust to 3D movies that are shot at 24fps.

Ditto - went to that one because Studio Movie Grill only had it showing in 3D. I honestly watched at least a quarter of it with the glasses off.

I agree that if they get it right, it'll be nice. But they need to film with Cameron's 3D cameras that focus for live action.

Cheap conversions are a film version of:

I will be skipping 3D for Captain America... some of the things that pop out seems to be as low as 10-15 fps

Anything fluctuation in fps makes things unwatchable for me

I skip 3d for everything except for avatar. I opted for transformers in 3d and was pleasantly surprised at how well they did it and how for the first time I wasn't hurting after.
