Yeah. Some huge robots in that one. The editing of trailer, especially the stuttering sound, was annoying but the movie does look epic.
Lets just hope the "final battle" doesn't drag on longer than it should, like it did in the first one. And I hope they kill Shia.
I thought that was one of the best trailers I've ever seen, even though I hated the first Transformers. Hope the movie is good.
Agreed it looks incredible. From the preview you kind of get that Revenge of the Sith vibe where you know the "bad guys" are probably gonna kick some ass yet you know the movie and story will still be great.
lol I actually think Shia is pretty good at his own thing. Oh yeah BTW you can see Fallen at the 1:39ish mark
http://www.movieweb.com/news/NEmtnqmmkRnopr Here are pictures of The Fallen and Devastator The Unicycletron at the end of the trailer is just one of the pieces to Devastator, there are supposed to be 7 of them that combined. This Movie is going to be EPIC! especially in IMAX
Thats Transformers I just still dont like the robot model versions they used for the movies. But this looks to be intense , I'm definitely watching
Anyone else see "Rolling On The Floor" when they saw the acronym in the title? I know what it is... stupid interwebs just got me in auto decoder mode.
Shia wasn't the reason the first movie sucked (not that he was good, but the rest of the movie was even worse). I grew up with the transformers, but i really hated how Michael Bay ruined the first movie. It was just teriible (i'm not going to go into detail I already did that in the thread about the first movie). I have little faith that this movie will be better, but I hope that they atleast make this movie primarily on the transformers and not the people. So that you actually hear/see the decepticons talk to each other, and are not only there as cannonfolder. But like I said I doubt it.
Looks cool. I liked the cartoon but let's not pretend that it was high art. I have all of the episodes on my PC and some of the plots are excruciatingly bad.
Ofcourse they were bad, but that is why they are childhood memories. Childhood memories are always filled with unrealistic memories. And that is exactly the reason why you shouldn't try to make new movies of childhood memories. They can never live up to the expectations (look at star wars and indiana Jones). But that was not the reason Transformers the movie sucked, it was just badly written and didn't make any sense. And was focussed on the people in the movie, instead of the transformers.
I'm not sure it matters, because I'm not sure it's important enough to warrant my post here....but you're right. The story line was an afterthought...a, "well i guess we better give some kind of a backstory here...but let's make it fast so we can show the cool robots blowing up again!!" thing.
I can't believe someone let Michael Bay rehash this coma inducing garbage... go play with your go-bots...
Tough crowd. I loved the first half of Transformers. A bit less for the 2nd half. I thought it was very entertaining and delivered the goods.
Well whoever let Michael Bay bring back this "garbage" is looking pretty smart right now, to the tun of hundreds of millions of dollars in profit. Giant robots, huge explosions, unprecedented military access, Megan Fox...just about everything a guy could want in a movie. This is a definite must see for me, along with Star Trek and Harry Potter, to name a few.
Transformers brought in the MEGA bux. In DVD sale alone it racked in more than $250 million, just in the US. Like it or not Micheal Bay just started a new franchise.
