Looks funny, but I really don't get the title "Superbad". On a related note, this year is the 25th anniversary of Porky's...the GREATEST teen comedy of all time and I will fight anyone who disagrees.
I agree. Porky's is a great teen comedy, but the greatest of all time is a tie between "Screwballs" and "Swap.avi"
I think Cera was the best actor on Arrested Development, including the esteemed Tambor. He was able to convey a half-dozen emotions without saying a complete word, while supressing each of them.
Here's the NSFW "red band" trailer for Superbad. Super funny if you ask me. <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/FPc28FASaEE"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/FPc28FASaEE" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
i know i shouldn't have, but i laughed at damn near that entire trailer. i had never heard of this movie until today even though it looks like this thread was started over a month ago, but i think i'll have to see it.
i read about this movie today in some article about apatow. i laughed through the whole trailer, it looks freaking awesome. looking forward to "knocked up" this weekend too.
Saw the general audience trailer for Superbad before, and wasn't interested at all. But after watching the "red band" trailer, I might actually go and see it.
Michael Cera has a web based show: http://www.clarkandmichael.com/ It's about two young guys trying to write and sell a tv show, if you like Christopher Guest movies, this should be up your alley. The chubby guy, Jonah, is in Knocked Up, here's a hilarious deleted scene: <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/154KVUTpe7A"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/154KVUTpe7A" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
There's a GREAT look at Judd Apatow in Sunday's NY Times Mag. Cera might be the funniest guy under 30 in the world at this point. Including V-Span.
