Star Wars: The Clone Wars is a 2008 3D CGI animated television series set in the Star Wars galaxy. Currently set to debut in 2008[2], it will be a 3-D expansion and continuation of the 2003 series of the same name. Currently, fifteen episodes are confirmed to be released. Each episode will run around thirty minutes. At April 2005's Star Wars Celebration III, George Lucas stated that, "you know we are working on a 3-D continuation of the pilot series that was on the Cartoon Network, we probably won't start that project for another year".[3] Genndy Tartakovsky, director of the original series, will not be involved with the production.

The show will continue telling the stories which began in the original Star Wars: Clone Wars series, which Lucas refers to as the "pilot series." It is set, just like the 2-D version, during the 3-year time period in which the Clone Wars took place, between the events of Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones and Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. It is likely to focus on more of the stories and battles between the Republic, led by Supreme Chancellor Palpatine, and the Confederacy of Independent Systems, led by Count Dooku and General Grievous, except in a 3-D format.

While I'm glad that it's not more Knights of the Old Republic garbage, I really wish that they'd start focusing on the story that happens after Return of the Jedi.

I really don't care about any of the prequel characters. Show me more Luke and Leia and Han.

Too bad I already know what happens in the end. I agree, prequels are getting lame..

On a side note.. even cuter here, Yoda looks... hehe

I read something a while ago about Luke starting another Jedi Temple or something, which would be cool, but who would they battle? The Empire died with the Emperor, didn't it?

I don't know, frankly I don't care what happened between episodes II and III. I'd much rather see Vader and the Empire kicking ass during the 20 years between episodes III and IV. I wouldn't even care that it was a cartoon. It would still kick ass.

I would kill to see an animation mini-series based on Timothy Zahn's trilogy of books dealing with Thrawn (which occur after ROTJ).

I was at Half Price bookstore on Westheimer and Kirkwood last year. I just so happen to stumble upon some Star Wars novels and I was intrigued. Not about what the novels are about, but just the cover pictures, that is all.

Then out of nowhere this guy pops out of nowhere like he's been hiding there for days waiting for someone to check out Star Wars novels. The guy had this massively huge pair of specs and thick like Beyonce's thighs, and his hair looks like he just rolled out of his bed. He wore this 80's looking shirt all nice and tucked in his brownish 80's looking pants. Basically he was like the biggest looking Star Wars geek you see like when Conan O'Brien does his Star Wars segment.

Needless to say I was kinda freaked out cus the guy literally popped out of nowhere and started talking about how great Timothy Zahn is. He started using these Star Wars terms like I give a flying rat's @ss. I just went along with it and he was like recommending all of the novels to me. Weird. I don't think I will ever touch another Star Wars novel after that incident, I don't want to be 45 and be like that guy still obsessed.

Anyways, this story is pointless.. I just thought I'd share it since you brought up Timothy Zahn. I do like his last name, Zahn. Cool.

Well, that's your loss then. I hear Oprah has a book club if you need some reading material. :)
