[trailer] Sin City (Jessica Alba is blonde!)

Well, Ms. Alba's gyrations were certainly distracting enough in the Sin City trailer...

 

I can't wait to see this. I've heard good things about the comics and I really ought read them. This movie looks very different and might not appeal to the average movie goer. Still, we don't see much noir these days and even though it isn't standard, it should be really interesting.

Speaking of babes in this movie, Rosario Dawson wears a really skimpy outfit and Carla Gugino goes topless. You can check that out for yourself if you look for a montage of scenes from the movie that was put together for comic book conventions and also released onto the internet.

 

Nice roster. That probably means they're overcopensating for the storyline, so it will likely suck.

 

i can't decide whether if the look was more computer game cinematic or a straight to video softcore erotica but for kids.

 

Cool cast - I love watching Benicio Del Toro in movies.

 

Seeing this trailer was without a doubt the highlight of my movie going experience to see Darkness. Sin City looks cool as hell. Even if the story does suck it looks like it just has so much pure STYLE that I could overlook it.

I'm not positive, but I think at least part of this movie was shot in Austin.

 

I've never heard of this movie or anything it is based on, so the first 15-20 seconds of the trailer I thought it was some movie based on the Max Pane video games by the way he was talking.

 

I think it was shot entirely in Austin in Robert Rodriguez's home studio. It's all green screen like Sky Captain except that the environments created are just of a city and no giant robots.

 

It's based on the graphic novel by Frank Miller called Sin City. It's supposed to be very good.
