It could be people taking their kids to the zoo/children's museum/hermann park during spring break.

JESUS F#$%#$ Christ!!! I wish I read this thread earlier.. From 610 Main to the Museum district took me 1 hour and 20 damn minutes.. I had to pick up my daughter at the garden something and then head to downtown.. I wish I knew earlier how bad it was.. Really everyone went to the museum?

Its from the rodeo... John McClain said that was the reason Ed Reed hasn't signed. Its also the reason the Pope retired.

Yeah I'd go with rodeo too. I lived at Old Spanish Trail/Almeda for two years and rodeo time always made me hate everything and everyone. I hated the traffic so much I grew to hate the rodeo, and have since turned down free tickets on three different occasions. F that and F you all for going. At other times of year, traffic was never an issue when navigating through the Med Center or Museum District, and with quick access to 288, 610 and 59, it was a good place to live.

I had friends in Sugar Land who used to tell me that they'd never live in Houston due to the traffic, but the traffic in that area was nothing compared to the clusterf*** that is Sugar Land 7 days a week.
