59 South to 288 South to West on 610 South seems to be the best way. Since you're going against the flow, it doesn't seem like it should take that long.

Agreed on Light Rail. It can get crowded, but you're taking it from the far end to the other far end, so you're guaranteed a seat every morning and afternoon. I'd only drive on rare occasion.

Are you riding your bike, or driving a car? ;)

I'd avoid 59 entirely, and take Elgin or Webster to the 59 feeder which will spit you right onto 288. Not much traffic flowing through there. Your commute should be about ten minutes. The Rail isn't that close to MMP, but if you'd like to walk it over there, go for it, although I'd say your commute would be closer to 30 minutes with the walk, and the Rail's monumentally slow travel time.

The 610 commute won't be fun. During morning rush hour, South - West is jammed and during the evening rush hour, South - East is jammed.

i just dont wanna move to mmp if my commute is going to be worst than what i already have to go through.

I'd probably stay off the freeways and try some combination of San Jacinto/Fannin/Almeda to get over there

I 2nd the Fannin or Almeda route. Shouldn't take more than 10-15 minutes since you would be going out of downtown while most people are driving in.

It's like one exit from 288 on 610.

Have any of you noticed the growth in the areas with light rail? I have....

It needs to be expanded to other areas. I travel a lot and I have used the rail systems in other cities, it works.

I take the West Belfort Park and Ride. Takes about 40-45min to my stop (last one).
