    I've actually really been rebuked in the name of the lord. Here's how it happened.

    I was a reading specialist at a school in Baltimore. We were holding a parent-teacher meeting for a student with serious behavior problems, with the student's mother. When the school staff was describing the boys behavior, the mother refused to accept that her son had done anything wrong. The kicker is that as she was making her denials her son was outside the room throwing things at the door to the meeting room. Anyway this meeting came to a head when the mother pointed to each of us around the table and said- "I rebuke you in the name of the lord. I rebuke you. I rebuke you. I rebuke you."

    they had her on the Jay Leno Show with Roseanne. to my surprise, she had a great sense of humor about the whole thing.
