"Knicks GM Scott Layden has already phoned the Rockets about their No. 1 pick, but it was more to congratulate Houston GM Carroll Dawson. Dawson said yesterday he's received a number of congratulatory calls from team executives, with GMs coyly stating they'd like to talk more at a later date. "I've heard from Scott but we haven't spoken about anything hard yet," said Dawson, who was not in Secaucus for the lottery. Dawson said he's willing to listen to offers but added it's "unlikely" he'd trade the pick expected to be used on China's 7-5 star Yao Ming, who will be an instant drawing card. "We'll listen to everybody but we're real happy with the pick, we're moving into a new building next year and it's a real kick in the pants," he said."

Whether this is news or not I thought I would share this with you and let you draw your own conclusions. Damn I love this time of the year. :D

I like this team a LOT more when the Rockets are still playing!

    "unlikely"

Nice. Sounds like they are just about sold on Ming and realize just how big of an opportunity this is.

    Don't waste it. Pick Yao.
