Well I think we need some changes this offseason we could might go and trade to the cavs for lebron or could trade to miami for grant and butler but i do not know what the GM is going to do so i asking yall what kind of trades would the rockets pull off this offseason.
There were some rumors about this guy around the deadline but nothing ever happened. I really think Shareef Abdur-Rahim is exactly what the Rockets need. He's a bit of a tweener but he puts up good rebounding number and can diffently score. I don't think he's the type of player that can "put a team on his back" so to speak, but I think he would be one hell of a complimentary player for Francis and Yao. Atlanta being where they are, they are diffently looking to make some changes. I think Mobley and Griffin would be a good starting offer. I'm not sure if they have any interest in those players so maybe you bring in a third team but I don't think they would laugh at you. Another thing to think about is next season Rice will be a hot commodity. A big contract in its final year. You will have to take another big contract in return but on a team not going anywhere and looking to get under the cap(Alt), you might be able to swing a pretty good player out of that. Although Les doesn't want to pay the luxary tax either so he may just let Rice play out his contract out and use the money to re-sign our own players.
I think the rockets could work out something with the Magic. They need a center real bad. Look at what Doc said after facing us: "I'm jealous because Houston gets so many great centers. When are we going to get one?" I'm sure we could spare one of our great centers, even one of our non-white ones. Doc also seems concerned about Armstrong's age. Why else would he be starting Vaughn? I think Doc wants someone who has the stamina to dribble the whole game with intensity. Hey, we have a backup pg who can do just that! so with that in mind ... Houston trades: SF Glen Rice (8.9 ppg, 2.5 rpg, 1.1 apg in 25.0 minutes) C Kelvin Cato (4.5 ppg, 5.9 rpg, 0.3 apg in 16.8 minutes) PG Moochie Norris (4.4 ppg, 1.8 rpg, 2.4 apg in 17.0 minutes) Houston receives: SF Tracy McGrady (32.1 ppg, 6.5 rpg, 5.5 apg in 39.6 minutes) PG Darrell Armstrong (9.6 ppg, 3.8 rpg, 4.0 apg in 29.0 minutes) PF Pat Garrity (10.8 ppg, 3.8 rpg, 1.5 apg in 32.3 minutes) Change in team outlook: +34.7 ppg, +3.9 rpg, and +7.2 apg. Orlando trades: SF Tracy McGrady (32.1 ppg, 6.5 rpg, 5.5 apg in 39.6 minutes) PG Darrell Armstrong (9.6 ppg, 3.8 rpg, 4.0 apg in 29.0 minutes) PF Pat Garrity (10.8 ppg, 3.8 rpg, 1.5 apg in 32.3 minutes) Orlando receives: SF Glen Rice (8.9 ppg, 2.5 rpg, 1.1 apg in 57 games) C Kelvin Cato (4.5 ppg, 5.9 rpg, 0.3 apg in 68 games) PG Moochie Norris (4.4 ppg, 1.8 rpg, 2.4 apg in 77 games) Change in team outlook: -34.7 ppg, -3.9 rpg, and -7.2 apg. TRADE ACCEPTED Due to Houston and Orlando being over the cap, the 15% trade rule is invoked. Houston and Orlando had to be no more than 115% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Doc gets the center of his dreams(a top 10 center to boot), the best dribbler in the league, and the best 3 point shooting corpse in the league to hold down the sf position until Hill gets gets healthy again in 2007. Get on the phone CD, you stupid bastid.
After getting McGrady, then we trade Mo Taylor, Jason Collier, Eddie Griffin, and James Posey for Tim Duncan. The Spurs get a player at every position but PG(where they already have Tony Parker) and only have to give up one player. Collier can split time with Malik Rose at center and Posey can start at the 2 over Ginobli. Houston trades: PF Jason Collier (2.8 ppg, 2.2 rpg, 0.1 apg in 8.0 minutes) SF James Posey (10.6 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 2.2 apg in 30.4 minutes) PF Eddie Griffin (8.8 ppg, 6.1 rpg, 1.1 apg in 24.4 minutes) PF Maurice Taylor (8.5 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 1.0 apg in 20.6 minutes) Houston receives: PF Tim Duncan (23.6 ppg, 12.9 rpg, 3.8 apg in 77 games) Change in team outlook: -7.1 ppg, -3.9 rpg, and -0.6 apg. TRADE ACCEPTED Houston gets an expiring contract.
Oh, Houston's team next year: 1 - Francis/Armstrong/Maddox 2 - Mobley/Hawkins 3 - McGrady/Nachbar 4 - Duncan/Morris 5 - Ming/Garrity
Orlando is building the team around T-Mac. I don't think they'll trade him for anybody less than a superstar.
Rice was an all-star mvp. If that isn't doesn't spell superstar then I don't know what does. And Cato is a top 10 center. StupidHydraMoniker, that's a pretty good proposal, but I think the rox would need a bit more in return. Have the Spurs throw in their championship* banner and I think it's a done deal.
i dont think tracy would leave the majic byt if he does hope he comes to houston. houston would really need his points. but one question who is going to lead the majic."moochie".
This is just stupid! The Magic would never trade their franchise player for the soon retiring Rice, the average cato and the bad Moochie. And we are supposed to get Garrity and Armstrong also? This is just stupid. Even if we offered all those players for T-mac, they wouldn't accept it. Think before posting
you're the one that's stupid. as long as they can keep steven hunter and pat burke they'll have the interior sewn up tight! plus you're adding cato and rice and moochie in the eastern conference... those guys could be allstars over there. personally, i think we should ask for giricek, too. that way glen can play the 2 guard over there.
I think Tmac would never be traded but im talking about a trade like this. Rockets trade Moochie Norris Eddie Griffin Glen Rice 2003 2nd round pick Heat Trade Jason Terry Carron Butler Brian Grant TRADE ACCEPTED this is how a trade runs people Heat would have a young PF and a dribbling PG and a pure shooter. Rockets would recieve a young SF to back up posey or even challenge posey for the spot and a PG/SG that can finally let either francis or mobley rest and dont worry about coming in too soon. And a vet that could help us even more.
I hope you people who didn't note the sarcasm, do not plan on breeding anytime soon. Please, keep your stupidity to yourself.
Are u saying Mooch is not a leader Then howcome his bobble head doll sells for more than both Steve and Cuttino???
Shut up. You are the one that's stupid. Is Rice, Cato and Mooch the future of the Magic? NO! T-mac? YES Of course I would love the trade if it was realistic dough. We would of course made the best trade ever.
of course, they aren't the future of the magic. they're rockets right now. but if they were traded to orlando, they could be... straight up, bro. cato's another ben wallace. rice is another reggie miller. and mooch has one of the BEST turnover:assist ratios in the league. t-mac, on the other hand, just scores a lot and probably won't get any better. i think he'd be cool with steve, though. fair deal for both sides, for real...
