What are the chances if any that the Rockets will trade up with the #13 and #18 picks, get the player, and then trade off the #23 to a team with out a first round pick this year for 1st round pick next year. That would give us multiple picks again next year with the option for trading up again, correct? Not really sure, just a question that popped in to my mind, and wanted to know if anyone else had thought about it as well.... Just seems to me that a team that wasn't in the first round might be interested in a player at #23. ------------------ In the end there will be no judges...only witnesses to my greatness.
Even better would be if we could trade for an early second round this year AND a first round next year. Then we could pick Morris in the second round, and still have an extra pick next year. Actually this year's draft will be much better than next year's, so unless we got more, it wouldn't be worth it. ------------------ the more I know, the more I know I don't know...
That's along the lines that I was thinking as well. I have no idea what the draft will look like next year either, which is why I was thinking of having 2 1st rounders becuase I doubt that we will be in the lottery next year. That would give us a better opportunity to trade up (IMO) to get one of the top players in what could be a talent poor draft. But with all the kids comming out, who knows what the draft will be like. ------------------ In the end there will be no judges...only witnesses to my greatness.
i wouldn't mind us trading 23 for an early second and a first next year...we could muscle up that killer cisse with the second and the first round we could hopefully get a nice player on the caliber of a jason williams, yao ming, amare stoudamire, dajuan wagner, chris marcus, jared jeffries, frank williams, kareem rush, chris duhon, lenny cooke, james white, etc. there should be some good players in next year's draft as well but maybe not at the positions that we need ------------------
Next year's draft is supposed to be point guard heavy with very few big men available. With PGs like Jason Williams, Frank Williams and DaJuan Wagner likely to dominate the lottery, it's doubtful the Rockets would be very interested. ------------------
