look at this if the rockets are really interested in KG then how is this trade: (the #1 is in it to)

Houston trades: Maurice Taylor ( ppg, rpg, apg in minutes)
    C Kelvin Cato (6.6 ppg, 7.0 rpg, 0.4 apg in 25.5 minutes)
PG Moochie Norris (8.1 ppg, 3.0 rpg, 4.9 apg in 27.4 minutes)
SF Glen Rice (8.6 ppg, 2.4 rpg, 1.6 apg in 30.3 minutes)
Houston receives: SF Kevin Garnett (21.2 ppg, 12.1 rpg, 5.2 apg in 39.2 minutes)
Change in team outlook: -2.1 ppg, -0.3 rpg, and -1.7 apg.

Minnesota trades: SF Kevin Garnett (21.2 ppg, 12.1 rpg, 5.2 apg in 39.2 minutes)
Minnesota receives: Maurice Taylor ( ppg, rpg, apg in games)
    C Kelvin Cato (6.6 ppg, 7.0 rpg, 0.4 apg in 75 games)
PG Moochie Norris (8.1 ppg, 3.0 rpg, 4.9 apg in 82 games)
SF Glen Rice (8.6 ppg, 2.4 rpg, 1.6 apg in 20 games)
Change in team outlook: +2.1 ppg, +0.3 rpg, and +1.7 apg.

    TRADE ACCEPTED

Due to Houston and Minnesota being over the cap, the 15% trade rule is invoked. Houston and Minnesota had to be no more than 115% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

    what to you guys think

McHale is going to want the #15 and Eddie Griffin thrown in if he is going to trade his superstar. I don't see them wanting Mo either, one his contract and two because he is coming off major injury. Don't know if the trade will work without Mo in it.

Why would the Timberwolves take on these four overpaid players for their superstar? We just can't ship our damaged and expensive goods away for one superstar! It just does not work. Maurice Taylor is coming off a big, tricky injury, and he will be exremely hard to trade. Kelvin Cato has a long contract, and no one can predict how he will be in the future. Glen Rice is coming off a big injury too, and has one of the worst contracts in the NBA. They don't need Moochie Norris either, they are okay at the point guard position with Terell Brandon and Chauncey Billups.

Kevin Garnett is a proven superstar already. None of the guys that we are trading seem to have all-star potential. It is not certain that the #1 pick will be a superstar. The end result of this trade for the Timberwolves will be a bunch of overpaid players and a possible superstar. Why would the Timberwolves take on these ugly contracts just for the number #1 pick.

This trade is also bad for us. We're losing all our depth, and who's going to be our starting center? Kelvin Cato and Yao Ming would not be options with that trade. We can't fill all the needs with that #15 pick and the second round pick, of we do this trade.

Trade proposals for Kevin Garnett are okay. Just don't trade a bunch of overpaid player and a draft pick for him.

I don't see KG in pinstripes unless Francis, Griffin+Mobley, or the future #1 pick plays in Minneapolis.
