The only way Yao gets traded away is if his skin becomes real dark or he has cosmetic surgery to look like Shawn Bradley's twin and then he turns into just another good to average NBA player...we are forgetting how much marketing is tied into Yao, there's a billion reason not to trade Yao and not all of it concerns fatigue issues, foul problems, being a 20/10 guy, playing like a vagina sometimes, etc.

OK. Let him go. This is a wrong person in wrong team. So a trade will be good for both.

Yao needs to go beause that guy is soft and plays like a p***y grow some balls yao. I hop we do trade him. Here who I blame for our struggles not counting tracy being injured. Yao ming 50 percent and jeff van gundy the other 50. It's easier to get somthing for yao ming maybe like kevin garnett. How about yao ming for troy murphy richardson and a number one pick? Im not that sold in golden state players yet they havent been big time winners. If we can surround tracy with another true superstar like garnett and luther head being our third/ fourth option with maybe another star player. Formula to win a champinship in the nba is two superstars and two good players. Some solid role players. Yao ming would be good in this if his the third option but not the second option.

O yes smart plan trade a All-Star player with huge market value for Rich and Murphy, neither of whom have proven themself to be winners. Or trade Yao for an aging Garnett who has gotten out of the first round once. Garnett cant do it by himself neither can Yao.
The team has just played like 11 games and their are already one million threads suggesting trades. Jeeze give it sometime. T-mac has been injured and the team hasnt been given time to jell. Excluding the last 2 games Yao has been putting up good numbers in the first half. The team seems to stop going to him in the second, and everybody knows centers rely on good passing and when the team stops passing Yao stops scoring. Teams just double him because he is the only player they really have to worry about when T-mac isnt their. Yao has been getting good post position and has been agressive and your implication of Yao as a p***y is no longer valid.
I dont think him setting pick after pick for scrubs it the right game plan, because it tires him out and puts him in danger of fouls. Let Stro and Jhoward do the picking. Yao is the second best center in the NBA and others teams would pine after him. Trading him would be dumb. Period. Phew got that off my shoulders.

Those who proposed to trade Yao do not understand the his real value. Apart from his marketing value, he is also the core of Rockets' defense system. Just to see how much did the guards improve their rebound numbers after they were traded here. Yao is not good at rebound but he creates room for other fast rockets player to rebound. Yao contested every shoot before him. He chased the guards on the perimeter and used his size to prevent penetration. I foresee the team's defense will collapse if he is gone.

The "do not carry the team" theory is totally ungrounded. Kobe and KG did not carry their teams to the playoff with a much better supporting cast either. They should be dumped as well if that theory works.

Yao is doing OK, JVG is doing OK, and Rockets is doing OK. The only frustrating thing is the audience in the Toyota center. They are the worst fans I ever saw in NBA games.
