trade him to G.S. for adonal (aluminum) foyle.

they need to move a bigman and hope to get an ending contract out of it, for some cap relief next summer. we need a bigman and have the contract/player they are looking for.

@ $4.4M for 3 years, foyle's contract is not bad.

yes it would work, but the Rox will have to take some baggage with it. I went to Realgm and got a trade accepted with the Rox trading Walt and Langi to the Warriors for Blount and Foyle. Trade ID# 392428

It's a possible to pull that trade off with them having all those players under contract and over the cap. Maybe Clutch or Jeff can put some thoughts into the matter.:)

Have GSW renegotiate Foyle's contract by extending the years to make it fit our exception and then trade him to us; or trade Walt and the exception to GSW for Foyle. I do not want to lose Langhi.

Walt makes more than Foyle. We can use the exception to take on more salary but we can't use to have the other team take salary. I was thinking about trading for Foyle, but I was thinking more in terms of draft picks. GS would get picks and either a trade exception good for a year or salary relief.

You can have all the Fortsans you want. As for me, I would rather have Danny Fortson on the Rockets.

Man DaDa you have been off your game spelling wise lately! ;) I completely agree. I think teams aren't taking a chance on Fortson because of his foot, though I think that it is probably better since it was just a small screw that broke. He has a long term deal so that might turn the Rockets off, but if the Rockets got Fortson and assuming he's healthy, we can compete with anybody in the NBA. We could go as high as a 5 seed. Not only is Fortson a rebounding machine, but he is an underrated low post scorer and solid face up defender. Any chance of the Warriors even dealing him though? The only reason I could see was if they wanted to move Jamison to PF.

Fortson is like 6'7", I would rather have Foyle. Check Foyle's blocked shot #s, they're pretty impressive.

Fortson is a stud but he's too short to play center.

Actually I wanted Fortson as a PF, but I see what you guys mean. We do need a 4/5. I looked up Foyle's numbers:

For his career: 18.8 mpg 1.7 bpg 5.2 rpg 4.5 ppg

Last year: 25.1 mpg 2.7 bpg 7 rpg 5.9 ppg

After looking at these numbers I agree Freak. Those a pretty impressive. Until Mo came back he would definitely shore up the frontcourt. And if Cato keeps playing well Foyle could play some time at the PF spot and give us some shot-blockers up front, or off the bench. What's even better is, when Mo comes back Foyle wouldn't have a problem coming off the bench, assuming Kenny is starting. Hey if Golden State wants to keep Marc Jackson, and they're trying to move big men, I guess we might as well move one off their hands! :)

It would be nice to get Foyle, but they would want Moochie, not Walt. I think we would have to give up too much. The Rocks would be better off with cannon fodder like Chenowith or Fuller -- centers we could cut when Taylor returns and we have another shot at drafts/trades in the summer. Of course, I am still hoping the Rockets can pull off another blockbuster without doing damage to the team.

What do the Warriros need? What would they be looking for in trade? If they don't want Langhi how about Walt and Jones for Blount and Foyle? It still works on realGM, I don't know if they'd be interested in it though.

I'd rather go for Brad Miller or Chris Mihm, both are better than Foyle. Doleac had 13 points and 13 boards last night. However, would any of these be any better than signing Chris Gatling for 1 year?

Or how about the exception and Williams for Hakeem? Or straight up for Tina Thompson ;)

Foyle although not a great player would be a MUCH better fit for the Rockets than Mihm or Miller. Mihm might become a much better player and maybe an all-star one day(doubt it) but I don't see him fitting in with the Rockets style too well. Foyle is a real hard worker and reminds me of our own Larry Smith aka Mr. Mean. He is also a class act and a great team player. This is the type of person Rudy loves. Hey if the Warriors want to give us Fortson I'm cool with that too.

Some of you don't understand the way it works. Foyle and Walt are Byc players, to compound to issue is that both teams are over the cap. So, there is going to a 2 player deal on both sides. Another thing is we can't trade an medical exception to another team(hello) if some of you check some of the old posts you would have know that. The best option is a 2 player deal. :p

    1. We as fans know that Walt and Langhi will be fighting for PT, with Jones, Torres, Morris, Griffin around and playing well.

    2. You got to think about their is only 15 spots and 3 of them are IR, with Moe in one of those now.

    3. The deal would push the Rox into a 5 team or better.By the way Moe could be back by allstar break.

    4. You never get some thing worth having without giving up something. If you get a 2 tier player ,he plays like a 2 tier player, unless you can work with him. Our Front court does not allow that to happen, unless they play just short of a miracle.

This is what we are got fans, so lets hear what you got to say.

How about Walt for Issac Austin?

    Rockets
    F: Rice/Morris/Langhi
    F: Griffin/Thomas
    C: Austin/Cato/Collier
    G: Francis/Norris
    G: Mobley/Torres/Jones

(does Taylor count towards the 3 man injured list?)

    Grizzlies
    F: Battier/W.Williams
    F: Gasol/Swift
    C: Wright/Reeves
    G: J.Williams/Knight
    G: Dickerson/Anderson

Have you see Foyle's offensive numbers? He can't shoot, can't score, can't shoot free throws. He makes Chris Dudley look like an offensive machine. Often injured. Undersized for a starting center at 6'10", 250. He blocks shots, true, but Swopa will tell you that Dampier, not Foyle, is the best defensive center on that team.

I might agree with the Rockets' management. I don't know if there's an option available, right now, better than what we've already got.

If every one think about it, we do not need a offense scoring machine with Francis, mobe, and rice. We need defensive skills, shot blocking.

I don't know what else we could do
