i was thinking, if we traded w/ the jets, u think reggie bush will drop to 4?

    jets will take Leinart
no will then prob take VY
ten will prob take mario williams/d'brick/cutler
    hou w/ bush?

jets need a qb bad, no has deuce and looks likely they'll take a qb, ten won't take a rb b/c they have henry and brown...

interesting isn't it? maybe get the Jet's #1(4th overall), Abraham and a 3rd rd pick....

i'd do that... what ya'll think?

Reggie isn't going to fall that far, as teams can get a ransom for Bush.

I started a thread like this over at HPF.com...I actually think that if we trade down to number 4, the possiblity of us getting one of "our" guys is about 75%.

By "our" guys, I mean Vince Young or Reggie Bush.

Actually, it may even be a little higher than that. I'm kinda for trading down now.

Yall must be smoking something if you think two teams are going to pass up on Reggie Bush for you.

Someone like Green Bay or San Franciso would trade up to get Bush before he would make it to the 4th pick.

No way Bush goes past #3. The Titans would either have their pick of Bush or get #1 Overall pick value for him. They could make a deal with teh 49ers and still be able to pick up an impact player like D'Brick.

It would be huge if (assuming we trade w/ the Jets and they select Leinart) the Saints decided they want Cutler over VY. You then have the Titans with their selection of VY/Bush, whether they use the pick or trade, we would have one of our guys.

who do you think would take him?

i think the jets need a QB. i think the saints need a QB. i think the titans have a bit more flexibility, but would lean towards taking a QB.

but if you're telling me we could trade the pick...get value...and still end up with VY, I'm all for it!

What he said...Everyone needs a good qb, and I think we could still get some value if we traded down...I would love to have VY, give him time to mature then let him lead us to the promise land...

Like Shady and I posted, I personally think the Titans would either select Bush or trade the pick. While they do need a QB, they don't need one that all that badly. If Bush makes it past the Jets/Saints, the Titans find themselves in the best position in the draft (they'll have their choice of whatever QB is left over and Bush).

I don't think the Texans are really considering VY at all. Waiting a couple of years for him to develop while they already have Carr is something I doubt they want to do. If they trade down I see them taking D'Brick.

Bush will most likely be gone, someone could trade up to 2 or 3 to grab him if we are down at 4.

I think the idea of trading down to #4 would be to take Ferguson. They don't want to take an OL with the first pick. They would jump on him at #4, though. I doubt Bush would still be there. Tennessee would probably take him since Chris Brown has been so unreliable, healthwise. If he was to be available, my guess is that the Texans take him, though it would be a tough choice.

Which is why true Texans fans should be throwing that Wunderlick score all over the place. If he fell out of the top 10, I can definitely see the Texans making a trade to get him.

Texans fans: Don't discount the score. Embrace it! It's the best chance that VY will be a Texan!

    Anyone remember the Bush Bowl?

There is no way Bush slides any lower than the #1 overall pick, regardless of who has the pick. IMO

How about we offer the #1 pick and Charlie Casserly to N.O. for
    the #2 pick?

We would need to give up our #2.

I don't know how anyone can think that if we trade down and Vince is still available, that we'd pass on him. There's no way.

If we trade down and Vince is still there, we should trade down again. We could really cash in.
