This is just a minor trade but I think we should trade up to get Troy Bell of Boston College. It wouldn't have to be a major trade since many don't have him goin in the first round but I don't see him slippin past Atlanta with #37. He really seems like he could be the sleeper of the draft (i.e. Cuttino Mobley). He's an excellent floor general and could go good in our three gaurd rotation. Maybe package Norris and our #44 to like the Knicks for their #30 or something.

I wouldnt mind picking up Troy Bell either. I loved him in college. He was rated the top overall athlete in the Chicago Pre Draft camp. I was hoping he would slip far enough into the second round so that we would be able to scoop him. Now that his stock is rising, it would be more difficult. I dont think he is the splash Les is looking for on draft day though. I also don't think he would fit in well with steve, who shoots a lot too. The rockets need a pure passer, not another scoring option.

I'm not sure packaging Norris is the way to trade UP...

I like Bell, but it would likely take our two and a future two or maybe even a T-Rock type 1 (indefinite future pick*unless both teams forget about the obligation*so it seems).'

I would not want to give up a future 1, and our future two's should migrate closer to the end of the draft, rather than nearer to the first round. With that in mind, we may have a difficult time trading up only a few spots in the second.

He's deffinately not worth a future #1. I may be wrong, but didnt we trade a future #1 for Terrance Morris? Is that part of the reason we don't have a #1 this year? Anyways, look what that got us, he blows. If we had that #1 pick now, even a low #1, it would be worth more in a trade to move up.

The reason we don't have a #1 this year has to do with the Steve Francis deal. It was owed to Vancouver/Memphis. Nothing to do with TMo

TB is sick. I think he'll go in the 23-27 range, though (at least IMO). He tore it up in Chicago.

I think it's sad that great college seniors are in danger of not even makin the first round. Troy Bell is 21st in the NCAA all time leading scorers, the Big East player of the year (over Carmelo)and a great all round player. At the Draft Camp In Chicago he simply wowed everyone averaging 18 points and 7.5 assists. All this and he barely has a chance of goin late in the 1st. I think the Rockets should seriouly take a look at this kid and try to move up and get him.

If he's such a prospect then why will several Points go before he is picked?
