I am sure there is a team out there that would love to have a guy like Torres and it's obvious that the Rockets really don't have a position for him. He is also gonna be a FA after the season and i am sure that he will find a home with lot of cash thrown at him too. So how about we trade him for a first round pick in this years draft and with our pick which will likely be somewhere around 7-10, we could probably trade up much like this year.

You might be right, and he'll probably never start ahead of Mobely. He is gaining attention around the league, and could be traded for a lottery rookie, since he's playing so well.

I'd like to trade him to Cleveland for Diop. We need a center, even if he takes a couple years to develop! And Cleveland could play him at SF, which they desperately need, more than another center.

Diop has bad feet, he is the next version of Zydrunas Ilguakas. But I think the trade is a good idea, Torres could net the Rockets a 1st rounder.

You guys have gotta be kidding. OT is worth a lot more than just a measly draft pick.

Guys why is it that we want to become a younger team...

Don't we already have a young enough team...

I don't see Torres going anywhere for quite a while but I don't get to watch the Rockets much this season... Damn Fox Soutwest...

I just hope we bring in a veteran player or at least with more than 5 years experience... We have a lot of players that are all about 19-25 yrs old...

Do we really need to add another 1st rounder or any draft picks... I don't see why... I'd rather trade our picks and possibly players to add a center...

I we need the center but who... I don't want another young dude like Mihm or Diop... I would have liked Marc Jackson but he's out of the question, so who???

How about Zeljko Rebracca? He went 4/4 against us on Thursday. His rebounding needs work but offensively he's got nice skills (53% fg). He's 29 so he's not too young or too old, although he has a lot of experience. At 7-0, 257lbs he's got a solid NBA body. Could be another Divac type of player.

Houston trades: Jason Collier $1,280,040 to Detroit
Houston trades: Dan Langhi $465,850 to Detroit
Houston trades: Kenny Thomas $946,920 to Detroit
Houston trades: Terence Morris $490,000 to Detroit
TOTAL: $3,182,810

Detroit trades: Zeljko Rebracca $3,500,000 to Houston
TOTAL: $3,500,000

TRADE ACCEPTED

plus he's kinda cute

Jamaal Magloire. I'd love to see him along side Mobley, Griffin and Francis.

Trading for draft picks are out of the question.

Then, what do we do if Mobley is out for eight weeks? Does depth mean anything anymore? Leave OT alone. I do not see the team having difficulty keeping OT. He has prolific scorer potential and I prefer the bird in our hand instead of two in the bushes.

i agree with Tiburon...remember how we used to be one of the oldest teams in the league?? remember how we used to win championships and compete for championships?? remember how all those old guys retired??? remember how people joked about us being too old??? remember how bad we suck right now with a core of players that are very young??

i used to laugh at the mavs because for all their young talent at the time, they couldn't win...that's us, today. now it's time to start making the right moves to put veterans in around some of our younger guys...or wait and wait and wait and hope the young guys become what you hope they'll become.

Eminem has that receding hairline goin' on. How old is he again?

There is no way in hell we trade Oz. He was meant to be a Rocket. God made the Venezuelan Sensation look like Glyde because he was meant to be a Rocket.

You produce the find of the draft, and you want to trade him? Torres is destined for 25-30mpg. He is a key to better ball movement.

Another thing, e.v.e.r.y. year some people on this board think we can move up in the draft into coveted spots. Now come on...when do people swap major spots like that. Last year, you needed Brand or Shareef or THREE first rounders to move up.

People who covet draft picks seem to view them as christmas presents or something. The thrill of opening them up and winding them up and seeing them move is too much of a rush to miss. Like an instant gratification baby. Everyone is jealous of the find of the draft and wants to nab it.

uh....*WE HAVE THE FIND OF THE DRAFT*

And you toss him back into the lottery??????????

And the fact he wasn't even picked is more dumbfounding!
