Trade to improve our team?

I have heard absolutly zero talk about the Rockets doing a trade to IMPROVE our team. Is there no one in the NBA that could be picked up to help us with the playoff push? There are some areas that the Rockets need to improve. Rebounding, interior defense, 3pt threat are a few.

The hard part is not messing up what we have set up for this CWebb Summer TM. A three way would most likely have to occur b/c draft picks would be big.

What worries me most is the apparent attitude of lets wait till next year. I think that there might be too much of that in the organization. The lack of any talk to improve our team for this yr proves it.

The Rockets are known as an organization willing to do the big deal if it improves the team, but just not this year.

I dont think 3-pt shooting is a problem. Once Bull gets healthy and Walt gets out of his slump(if he ever does) we will be fine. Dont forget, we are one of the best 3-pt shooting teams in the league [IMG]

When I say 3pt threat I mean a hot Williams. He has not been able to put it together this year. I know he shoots a good %, but his overall FG% is horrible. Another scorer that can light it up from 3 would be great. I don't count Bullard as that. Defense and rebounding would come first.

    Anyone think of a player?

    Francis, Steve Francis.

    He hass been shooting well.

With Francis, Mobley, Bull, Walt, Mooch, and Shandon we have a pretty good group of shooters.

Also, you dont need 3 pointers to win.

2 Mid range jumpers equals 4 points
a three pointer equals three and is farther away.

Rebounding and defense are needed most.

    Anyone think of a player.

Junk Yard Dog, if we can make a push at him, i think that he will be able to come in and help our team big time.

A lack of a trade doesn't necessarily imply that they've given up on this year. In fact, those trades that would get the Rockets extra cap space also hurt the Rockets during this playoff push.

Besides, which big man can the Rockets get by trading Rogers + Walt that is better than Rogers? Which cog can come in and hit the occassional three if the Rockets do make it to the playoffs?

Good night everyone, Canadian or American. Just remember that we're all bound together by basketball, the internet and the mullet.

Jerome Williams has been mentioned numerous times. That would be a great pick up, but who would we have to give up, Los.

NBA Talk has mentioned that teh Lakers have been interested in Walt. Using Real GM I got this trade to work.

    Houston Trades: Walt Williams
    Carlos Rogers

    Lakers Trade: Robert Rorry
    Mark Madsden

I like this trade, but I don't know if L.A. would ler go of Horry.
