Trade our number one pick and our only semi-productive center for the one thing on this team we DON'T need, more backcourt players, while disrupting team chemistry by sending either Cuttino or Allen, two proven NBA starters, to the bench...

    next!

To boot, I doubt Milwaukee would do that trade. There's no reason why they should and the salaries don't come anywhere near matching.

I'm starting to think some of these Ming threads are only for boosting post counts....except for oeilpere's thread. Oh well.

With Moochie - the 5 guard line-up. Fabulous.

And we address our front court issues how? No doubt right now if Im the Rockets the 5 is the number one issue this offseason. You don't go backwards and try and fix a backcourt that ain't broke. Heres what you do with the first pick. You draft MING. The more I hear the more I like. Productive centers these days are a dime a dozen and usually are a gamble either way. But this is one gamble you take. Lets be frank folks we AIN'T going to the finals next season and winning a title so you do what you can with the talent that is out there now. Ming is the man in the draft right now that SHOULD most interest the Rockets if they are serious about upgrading the 5. We're talkin 7'5 280 here. We're talkin nothing less than an offensive goliath. Just this mans size will change shots and rebounds will come to him. He can work on his conditioning and learn to establish a good post game offensively and defensively but other than that we're talking immediate production here. Are you kidding me? Give up on this guy and deal him for scrubs? If we ain't getting KG, Duncan or Shaq then get off of it. These guys ain't going to be dealt and neither is Ming.

There seems to be an abundance of crack on the BBS these days and quite a few of our fellow BBSers are indulging.

dude, you got to get off the weed man!! there is no way that you trade away your best player in Ray Allen and a border-line all star in Sam Cassell for the #1 pick and some crappy players. Also, as stated before, it would not address the front court problems of the Rockets.

Absolutely. i mean, what a wasted thread this is. The guy suggests that the Rockets trade the pick for cassell and allen, and then in the thread, he types just this.

i don't know if either are free agents, but this trade sounds fair...hell...throw cato in too...

now that is some solid analysis right there. This guy should take Mike Fratello's place on TNT.

Now why would the Rockets want Cassell, Francis. Mobley, Allen, Moochie all on the same team. This is taking up server space.
