Trade Suggestion: Taylor for Atkins

    What do you think about trading Maurice Taylor and the MLE to the Celtics for Chucky Atkins and one of their first round pics they had this year or Chris Mihm (restricted free agent) I believe that the salaries of Taylor and Atkins are about the same. Atkins has played with McGrady in Orlando. Is a team oriented, pass first point guard (what a concept!). I think it would help both teams!

    No, Atkins makes $4.2 million while Mo makes $8.45 million, so the salaries don't match up.

    Thank you Juan Valdez for the salary info. What if the Celtics were to sign Chris Mihm to 4.5 million, one year contract and then trade Atkins and Mihm to the Rockets for Atkins. What do you think of that trade possibility? :)

    lol :p He actually got skinnier..he lost a lot of weight..I wonder what he's doing now. He was a great 6th man..great scorer

    Atkins is a short backup pg with a fat contract.

    Mihm is a scrub who the rox may be able to get for 2 mill or so.

    I'd rather keep Mo unless we could squeeze an unprotected 1st plus more from them.

    I think he meant TE.

    Anyway, Atkins make much more than he's worth. But then, his contract is almost done with anyway. I guess I don't have strong opinions on it.

    Yes you are correct. I meant TE. Atkins proved to be a valuable addition to the Celtics. He is a no nonsense quality point guard. He is not flashy but he does get the job done. I think he would fit in great with JVG's game plan.
