Someone in another thread said that we should trade the 9th and cato for the 5th well that's fine but I want to make a little alteration to this deal? Rockets get: Picks 5 and 10 Micheal Doleac. Magic get: The 9th pick Kelvin Cato Walt Williams Bryce Drew or the pick owed. This is a very possible deal I think it's very realistic . Then we could draft Miles and Moiso, also we have a solid center in Doleac. Another trade with the Magic is that: Magic get: Kelvin Cato 4.5 million dollars trade exception. Kenny Thomas Future pick owed (the McLaen trade) Rockets get the same thing except we keep the 9th pick. I know your thinking this is crazy but don't look at it for the value of players but, this is possible because the magic are trying to get under the cap as far as possible. Cato has a large contract but he lures Duncan there Because Tim doesn't want to play center. ------------------
you're kidding, right? ------------------ "Be like Dr. J, be like Dr. J..." - Shaq during NBC interview.
Doleac is not capable of starting at center. We also can't "hand" them the exception. It has to be used to take on more salary, which Doleac isn't. ------------------ Rockets fans wanted at hoopsboards.com Draft Chat, NBA Chat, Team Chat, and more!
In a Bizarro world, yes, it's very possible. Reverse this and ask yourself, if you had Michael Doleac and the 5th pick in this year's draft, would you trade it for Walt (a backup SF on most teams), Bryce (a backup's backup on our team), and Kelvin Cato (injury-prone, big contract, and rumor has it, not motivated)? BTW, I believe Doleac has better rebounding, scoring, assists, and turnover stats per minute than Cato. I think he does anyway, from a comparison I did a while ago. Cato of course is a better shot blocker. ------------------ Just shut up and post
Why would the Magic want to take on 11 million combined in Cato and Walt when they could use that money to go after McGrady, Hill, or Duncan? Come on people, think. ------------------
