    In other words, the Rockets aren’t going to do sh*t. I’m ok with it, because I don’t want a panic move that screws up our future when we can get rid of our sub-par coach.

    I think it just became pretty unlikely that they move off of Capela after the Adams injury. Without a backup center, we could be a play-in team by the time Adams is back. That is, of course, assuming the trade target isn't another big. And all the talk seems to be about a point guard. I think a pupu platter of DFS, Jeff Green, Aaron Holiday, possibly Tate with Eason as the centerpiece is most likely. Though I'm not entirely sure Eason still holds significant value around the league. He's starting to look a lot like a Robert Williams or Mitchell Robinson - valuable when healthy, but seldom healthy.

    February 5th/6th: “It’s my job to look to improve this roster. We had some conversations. Thought we were close on a few deals but obviously nothing got done. We love our roster. We have Steven Adams coming back, Tari coming back, Dorian is rounding into form and so I like where we’re at and where we’re headed.”

    With noise around Tyus Jones on the trade block. He could be had at a nice price.

    "Getting FVV back is like signing a star to an already stacked team."

    “Great point Salvy. Fred is working hard every day and we’re excited by his progress. We’re not putting any timetable on it. If we get Franchise Fred™ back, great. If not, we have the utmost confidence in Aaron Holiday and JD Davison.”

    For a Udoka team, getting FVV back is actually like signing a star, quite unfortunately.

    Gotta wonder if they'll consider Capela more as a must-have now that SteveO looks to be out a while?

    DFS and Tari obvious trade chips but... can't imagine the value is so high.

    Coby White/Dalen Terry/2nd round pick (Bulls get their own pick back) for Tari/DFS works. Reading that Coby White has lost a little buzz after suffering a series of calf injuries, same as Tari? We're thin at guard and they're thin at forward. Getting their own pick back sweetens the deal, I feel like it's a pretty fair trade. They risk losing him for nothing this offseason, so it's either trade or sign time (same as Tari again?).

    I think Tre Jones could be a swell addition too. Tari/Holiday gets that done imo.

    I remember liking Ayo Dosunmu in the draft, he'd be a great 2 way guard to add here imo but I think he's about to get paid as soon as the Bulls offload some contracts. Could the Bulls 2nd and a 1st get him, in addition to Tari/Holiday?

    TL;DR I think the Rockets and Bulls have some pieces that should absolutely interest the other side.

    If this Adams ankle prevents us from trading Clint that’s gonna really tick me off. I still say play 5 out with Bari at the 5 over Clint.

    I’m also concerned about Stone’s willingness to trade draft capital. I’m fine with that if we are trading for a guy on the right side of 30, but militantly against it for an older, win-now player. I still want to preserve the option of resetting the timeline around Sengun, Amen and Reed if things don’t work out.

    Continued

    "We have the utmost confidence in Aaron Holiday and JD Davison, we are very high on him. We believe JD has top 10 lottery talent. When we saw this young man went undrafted we immidatly started looking into bringing him to camp. We were very exited."

    My favorite time of year

    - According to #sources, the Rockets are actively willing to make a deal, provided 2 things

    * It improves the team
    * the price is right

    Look for the Rockets to act accordingly

    Maybe DFS when he’s 100% and in game shape will be a stud, but right now, I’d love to only lose CC and DFS for a point upgrade. For Tari, it has to be a semi star.

    @Codman has said that Grand Theft Alvarado has been discussed. I say go get him. He’s effectively a 1-yr rental for $4.5 mil, as he’s likely to decline next yrs player option. He’s in his prime. His 3pt shooting has been above average the last 3 seasons. He’s a good defender and his career assist to turnover ratio is 3:1. Plus he has that great motor and dog attitude. Would honestly fit right in here. This guy can really help us.

    I don’t think u trade DFS. If there’s reasonable confidence that he will be fully recovered in the next 6 weeks I think you wait until the offseason to evaluate. A healthy DFS is a valuable player. but that’s only if the medical isn’t a concern. I think he’s Tari insurance and we need that.

    For a couple 2nds he’s ok, any first rounder would be a complete non starter.

    Another guy I’m hoping we can work a deal for is Ayo Dosunmu. I know he’s not a point guard but he has good size, he defends and he’s become a good shooter. He makes Okogie expendable and a big offensive upgrade. He can also handle the ball.
