I think two things could happen the Bulls want Youth so we give them langhi for Oakley some how i think hell compliment us nicely dont u all think? ANd now that we have oscar torres of the bench we dont need Walt no more so we should put him in a package for MJax ! theres no way hes staying in golden state!
I would NOT want Oak on this team...His bite doesn't match his bark anymore, and he's one of the few who doesn't realize it...I don't think Rudy T needs a grumpy backseat driver on board when he's trying to get this team on the same page as it is...Besides, Oak's a hypocrite, complains all the time about "younger guys" ruining the game by disrespecting the game and playing for themselves, and gets himself taken out of important games over a gambling debt dispute, then says he did "what I had to do."...Don't get me wrong, the guy's a defensive QB, knows the game, and often has a lot of truth behind what he's saying, but he says it through the media, and is nowhere the leader he's portrayed as... Just not worth the trouble anymore....
Once again for everyone that wasn't paying attention during the summer... We can NOT get Marc Jackson until next year at the earliest, from any team. So, your Walt Williams trade scenario doesn't work, because he's in the last year of his contract
Let's stir the pot some more. Try this trade on for size & to keep Krause from hanging up, just put a double meat double cheeseburger next to the phone. Houston sends Cato/Brown to Orlando. Houston sends Walt to Chicago. Orlando sends Armstrong/Miller to Chicago. Orlando sends Outlaw to Houston. Chicago sends Oakley to Orlando. Chicago sends Curry/Hoiberg to Houston. Houston has a decision to make. Do they want to trade Cato now, while his value is on the rise, or keep him, with the belief that he's finally turned the corner & will continue to bring it every night? If we can get Curry, I say trade him now. We can plug Willis into the starting center position & bring Curry or Collier in for relief minutes. Imagine a 6'11" 285 lb. Curry with 2-3 years of Willis's tutelage & physical conditioning. Brown will probably never get any significant minutes on this team & both he & Walt are taking up positions that could be used by other players, like Langhi or Collier. Outlaw would add experienced depth to the PF position & Hoiberg would be in the deal as trade fodder, but if he were to rebound from his early season suckiness, he could be used for a future trade. Orlando needs help up front & Cato/Oakley would give them just that. They'd also offer some relief for Ewing/Grant, so that they could be more effective when they come in. They want to move Outlaw & have been rumored to be considering offering a package of Outlaw/Miller in various trade scenarios. They could move Hill to the PG position, Garrity to the SF position, & groom Brown to take over PG duties in a couple of years. Chicago might want to move Oakley, because of the perceived turmoil that he's contributing to. They could plug Armstrong in at the PG position, Mike Miller at the SG spot, move Fizer back to his natural position of PF, keep Robinson at the SF spot, Brad Miller at the center position, & have Anthony/Mercer/Walt/Chandler/Artest/? coming off the bench. Now that would be an improved Bulls team. They've currently got 4 centers & might be willing to part with Curry for this deal. Both Houston & Chicago would have to throw in some draft picks, but I'd do it to get Curry. Just thought I'd add to the fun.
I think that's what Chicago are thinking about except with Oaks tutelage...... Why bother hypothesising a crazy trade? I would like to see if the State would be interested in Walt in any way shape or form for MJax - maybe we sling in a pick and send Walt's salary over to them for Jackson? Walt's off the books next season, so it's possible....
If the Rockets ever get Jackson, it'll be in a trade from another team next year, or in the future. GS, nor any other team, can trade him to us for one full year from the time GS matched our offer & they'll most likely find a deal that's acceptable to Jackson long before then. As far as my trade idea, can't a guy dream?
We won't use Oakley as a leader, just strictly as a motivator. Oh, maybe he can help Mo with his rebounding and Rice with his conditioning. Truth is, Oakley would be much better off the bench for us than anyone. You wouldn't see games like the Denver game if we had him. Playing 30 minutes with the Bulls is not his thing. He needs to come off the bench, and show some fundamentals and elbow grease. Personally, I'd trade KT while his value is up for Oakley. For Houston: We get Oakley off the bench. Willis can start here for now, then backup Cato, where Griffin would get some more minutes since Oakley wouldn't play as much as KT did. For Chicago: Kt's playing great, in great physical condition, and is showing improvement in many areas. he gets to have his minutes in Chicago, Curry and Chandler get more minutes to develop, and they lose Oakley, who I thikn they'd wanna trade after his feud with Floyd.
Oakley has 1-2 more years ahead of him; KT has a nice little career getting going. What kind of deal is that? Sounds like Charles Barkley for Sam and Horry all over again....
Thing is, with Griffin developing, Mo Taylor coming back, and Willis playing some 4, KT is a liability if we can get someone for 1 year or so with a short contract. We better not be giving any extensions to KT, coz as much as I love his game, we have too many PFs. Oakley would bring something invaluable to this team. (No, not yapping)
