This is the exact 2way page I got from my contact today minutes ago. It is just a rumor.

Rumor: Steve and Pike to Blazers for Zach Randolf, Q. woods, Patterson and E. Snow from 76ers.

Decifer it how you want. I'm just delevering the message I got from my source.

That would so rock. Randolph = hoss.

Isn't that the same trade rumor from Stein (or was it Ford) that we all laughed at?

That would absolutely rock! Too bad its just a rumor. :(

    Snow/Jackson
    Cat/Woods/JJ/patterson(ugh)
    JJ/Woods/Patterson
    Randolph/MoT
    Yao/Cato

We'll need to get someone else besides
Snow in the offseason, but that team looks tough. :D

that's the exact trade marc stein posted in one of his recent chats (or if not stein, one of the espn guys). so either he knew exactly what he was talking about or your source just got it from there (or from someone who got it from there). since i don't think stein knew exactly what he was talking about, i choose the latter.

edit: damn the speed of this board never ceases to amaze. i chime in a mere 3 minutes after the initial post and people have already said the same thing 3 times in the interim.

as much as i would love having zach randolph, he's the ONLY untradeable guy on the Portland roster. He's basically their cornerstone.

I would bow down and worship Rocket Rich if that trade came through.

I think it was the Jim Jackson signing. I think I saw the post and kept checking ESPN for the news and it didn't show anything until later I saw it under the transactions settings. I can't remember though.

hahaha, that's the same ridiculous trade Chad Ford proposed. As i said in the other thread. There isn't a chance in hell of it happening.

    Moochie for Weatherspoon.

Man, I would love for the Rockets to pull this deal off. I can't believe Steve has that much value...

Actually, I think it was the Moochie trade that he got right.

True. We'd have to pay him BIG BUCKS at the end of next season if he comes here.

Also, if Steve goes to portland, he'd be the shooting guard next to Stouda(e?)mire. That's arguably the worse Defensive back court in the league, although they'd put up a lot of points.

Interesting. Both Chad Ford and Stephen A. Smith have made trade suggestions that have Randolph going to Houston. At first it sounded like it was just them blowing smoke but maybe this rumor might be legit.

thanks, rich... even if it's a rumor. :)

mf'er, you better hope it's not a rumor or i will find out where you live and kick your arse for getting my hopes up on a really REALLY good trade. :D

and if it's not a rumor, hopefully they'll anounce it AFTER the laker game.

I think Rocket Rich's last page was the Moochie trade.

First off...I said it was a rumor. Second, it came from the same source(s) that told me about the Moochie trade so take it for what it's worth. I'm just a messenger.

There is no way the Blazers will trade Randolph. He is their best player now, and he is still under his rookie contract - means he is cheap. If any trade that would brig Stevie to Portland, Stoudemire would have to be part of the package.

So it could make sense to have

    Snow to Houston
    Stoudemire to Philly
    Stevie to Portland

This would not be too good for the Rox.
