    They cannot back out of the deal. It is just a stupid rule regarding tampering but the deal is done and sent to the league office. The only way it can be reversed is if Battier or Swift fail their physical.

    The only way that happens is if something happens to Shane bewteen now and the 12th and he fails the physical because there is contingency plan in the NBA ruel where a team can wave physical which the Grizz if Stro fails his physical because what they want is Gay.

    Basically, the deal can still go through if only Stromile fails his physical because Memphis can then exercise their physical waver right to make it offficial official [sic].

    Memphis would still do the deal if Swift fails his physical. That's how poorly the values match.
