we cant go without a first rounder 2 years in a row.

if all you want is Jones and Grant you dont even need Boston

Cato + Norris + Mobley + Taylor (or Rice) = Jones + Grant

    Dream, sweet dream... :D
I don't think we can get two (almost) all star player for a good shooter and three bench warmers.

I like the idea of Jones and B.Grant, but would much rather send E.G. than Mo T.

Try this: Mooch, Cato, E.G., Rice & 2nd rounder for E. Jones & B.Grant (and possibly their backup PG).

    You can.
The rule says that you can't stay without 1st rounders in FUTURE consecutive years.
Since 2003 is not a future year HOU can trade their 2004 1st rounder as well.

The point of involving BOS is that MIA as a rebuilding team needs rather expiring contracts and young talents than a bit one-dimensional scorer especially that they want to clear their logjam at SG/SF with Wade,Butler and Jones.

    Brian Grant as an All-Star?Please....

Both Jones and Grant are aging role players (although very good ones) with long max. contracts.
There is a very very limited market for them in the new (luxury tax) era of NBA.

awful trade for the rockets...we give up 3 core players (cat, cato, taylor)...great one for the celtics....

we'd lose age, potential, and size...

who'd be our backup center and pg???...big bodies like Cato are hard to come by...ask Dallas.

Hey! A sighting of The Hungarian Rocket.
My brother-in-law (from Houston) had a bright red Ford Probe shipped to a town in Hungary where he was working for Brown & Root as a construction supervisor on a soon-to-be NATO base. It's probably the only one in the country (who else would be stupid enough to do something like that??), so if you ever see it, you know the back-story. ;)

Stick around! I enjoy seeing old-time posters making their way back to the BBS, especially after the "Yao Flood". (or maybe that's "Flood Yao" :D)

On topic, I'd love to see Grant and Jones in Rocket Red (yea!), especially Grant, but not BOTH those contracts. And we'd still have a slew of roster spots to fill. I don't see it happening. Maybe a deal for Grant, but not both. Grant and Butler would make me go bananas, and that's not happenin', either.

Peirce is the only Celtic I'd want, and he's not going anywhere.
