Cleveland trades: C Zydrunas Illgauskas (15.5 ppg, 7.4 rpg, 1.6 apg in 31.9 minutes)
SF Darius Miles (9.7 ppg, 4.6 rpg, 2.6 apg in 26.4 minutes)
Cleveland receives: SF John Amaechi (9.7 ppg, 4.6 rpg, 2.6 apg in 26.4 minutes)
    C Kelvin Cato (5.7 ppg, 8.1 rpg, 0.8 apg in 28.2 minutes)
    C Yao Ming (16.1 ppg, 9.5 rpg, 1.8 apg in 34.5 minutes)
Change in team outlook: -3.4 ppg, +5.6 rpg, and -1.6 apg.

Houston trades: SF John Amaechi (9.7 ppg, 4.6 rpg, 2.6 apg in 26.4 minutes)
    C Kelvin Cato (5.7 ppg, 8.1 rpg, 0.8 apg in 28.2 minutes)
    C Yao Ming (16.1 ppg, 9.5 rpg, 1.8 apg in 34.5 minutes)
Houston receives: C Zydrunas Illgauskas (15.5 ppg, 7.4 rpg, 1.6 apg in 25 games)
SF Darius Miles (9.7 ppg, 4.6 rpg, 2.6 apg in 25 games)
Change in team outlook: +3.4 ppg, -5.6 rpg, and +1.6 apg.

    TRADE ACCEPTED

Due to Cleveland and Houston being over the cap, the 15% trade rule is invoked. Cleveland and Houston had to be no more than 115% plus $100,000 of the salary given out unless trade exceptions were used for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Miles will fit very well with the Rox style of play. He is still young and has a ton of upside. Big Z can be a good 3rd to 4th option on the team. Z's contract is about to end so it will free up a ton of cash for Les.

    Rox
    Big Z - C
    Mo Taylor- PF
    Miles-SF
    Mobeley- SG
    Francis- PG

    Cleveland
    Yao- C
    Boozer-PF
    Eric Williams- SF
    Lebron- SG
    Ollie- PG

That seems like it will help both teams.

This has to be the single most idiotic trade idea I have ever heard. Is it April Fools already? You cant possible be serious?!?!

WTF has Darius "Look at me knockin my head" Miles has done in the league. The guy cant shoot from 5 feet out. He was suppose to have all the potential in the world, but has shown crap.

And you want to trade Yao Ming (a first or second option on most teams) for a center that can be a third or fourth option on out team?

Dude at least think before you post a thread like this.

Ilgauskas has a long history of foot problems. We're one freak foot problem from starting Ameachi at Center and we're backing up Taylor with Padgett. Jackson puts up better numbers than Miles who has a career .104 3pt %age. Before you cream yourself thanking of highflying fastbreaks, you better remember that Taylor and Z's best ever DReb season barely surpass Yao's current 9.5/g.

    No thanks.

The Cavs would be in the finals this year. The Rockets could maybe hope that one day Les moved them to the east coast so they could catch an 8 spot.

That may be an incentive. But to give up Yao for that is a no go. Especially when there's no decent centres out there to replace him. Let's not forget that Yao is still a work in progress.

This "trade Yao" threads are just an example of a poster screaming for attention because they are upset about the team's struggles.

Its like when a lil kid tells his mom that he hates her because she won't buy him the new GI Joe at Woolworth's.

Oh my GOD, can anyone imagine the media attention if Yao and Lebron were on the same team?

I'd trade Yao to Cleveland in a deal like this if Yao demanded a trade and threatened to sign somewhere else for nothing FROM NOW, allowing teams time to clear cap space:

    Yao
    MoT
    Cato
    Moochie

    for

    Illgauskas
    Diop
    Miles
    Wagner
    Boozer

This would bring back tons of talent, give us TONS of cap flexibility, and improve us at every position except C.

    Illgauskas/Diop/Meech
    Boozer/Miles
    JJ/Pike/Miles
    Mobley/Wagner
    Francis/Ollie/Wagner

It's definitely not in our favor, but if the conditions that I mentioned apply, and he insists on going to Cleveland, then this would be ok I guess.

Just when I thought the thread starter could not be topped...

    Well, both trades suck equally.

FIRST of all, I have 4500+ posts.

Second of all, if my conditions apply, then tell me what you propose to get from Cleveland? That's basically all the talent excluding Lebron James.

Compare the first trade to mine. If you don't think mine is substantially better, I'll open a brand new thread just for you SJC, and we'll have people vote on whether mine is way better or not.

I didn't say we should trade Yao, I didn't say this is a good trade. I even said it's a bad one. But what I did say is that IF we were forced to trade Yao to Cleveland under bizarre circumstances, then this would be the most we could get out of Cleveland.
