Dirk sucked his first year too, and i would seriously doubt the pacers would do it. I wouldn't trade ming for o' neal.
Nope. Jermaine is a 6 year vet. Yao is 1 day young. I have faith Yao will be a greater player once he's been here 6 years.
Why would you trade him for Jermaine O'Neal. And before anybody says "Look what O'Neal is doing!", yeah look what he is doing after several years in the league. Garnett only put up 10 ppg and 6 rpg his rookie year. Dirk and Kobe also struggled so give him time.
Rockets is better trade Yao Ming because he will not have bright future in this guard-oriented team. Yao Ming's interview after the game: http://sports.sina.com.cn/k/2002-10-31/1040342724.shtml He said: I don't count on the support from the back-court. On the contrary, I will try my best to provide my support to the back-court. On my first season, I will focus on the rebound and do what a center should do- defence.
I don't have enough info to answer this question. When the trade is proposed have I been drugged? If so then I might do the deal. Under any other circumstances...I'd shoot that deal down once I stopped laughing.
Damn, it's been one game, and already alot of you are b!tchin' like babies. Sure, we didn't look very good on offense, we didn't rebound well, we didn't pass well, we didn't play good team ball, etc, etc, etc. It is the first game. As for the trade Ming crap, come on! If you're willing to give up on him after one stinkin' game where he played just 11 minutes, you are freakin' nuts! Granted, I didn't like the offensive scheme we showed, and we didn't look like a team out there, but this doesn't mean that this is the way the season will shape out to be. True, we have injuries to KT, TMo, and MoT is suspended, but it's no reason to be upset. Anyways, back to this Ming thing. You have to give him some time. i'm sure you've all heard it before, but he's only been with the team for 2.5 weeks. he's only played 2 exhibition games. He's a rookie, and he still hasn't learned the system or his teammates, just as they haven't learned to play with him. Plus he has the weight of the world on his back and this was his first NBA game. Don't you think there were a few butterflies floating around? As the season progresses, he will play better and better, but it still might be 1 or 2 seasons after this before he starts playing for real. You have to give him time. Give the team time. the pieces are in place but it's that time thing that says when everything gets assembled.
NO WAY!!!!! He's the real deal!!!!!! When Yao's on the court gives me the same feelings that Griff did last year. He has natural talent! Boki has this too.
Man, ya'll are all so quick to judge. The man shot just one shot. You're talking about trading him????? Get off this board. We have no room for fair-weathered fans. Don't get back on the bandwagon when he proves you and all the others wrong.
this guy (jazz) has been waiting for this opportunity for a long time. I said this before, and i say this again.... we need to trade you to the utah jazz
Dtt, Even ESPN aren't going very hard on Yao. It's almost like they know that Yao can play. Even they are willing to give him time. I think they learned from all the Jermain O'Neal bashing a few years ago.
The last thing we want now is a pathetic guy like Jrazz in a lost boat in the middle of ocean. This is the most senseless and destructive comment a decent human being can ever make. Can someone put Jrazz out of this BBS??
