Who are the players available whom we can use for our TE ? I've read that it's going to expire. jarvis hayes? please suggest other players..
Welsch might be interesting. Apparently he can be had for practically nothing, which is a major red flag, but he sounds like someone who could potentially be a good rotation player at positions we could use some depth (SG/SF)
If this was the last year of the contract then you might as well...but I think he has 2 years left. I haven't seen him play much, but from the looks of hist stats, you'd be hard pressed to find a worse shooter in the league, and that's even if you exclude his 16 games for Cleveland last year.
Welsch has great talent. He can play multiple positions because of his versatility and height. I think JVG will make him great. I was hoping we'd draft him, Qyntel Woods, or Salmons instead of Nachbar. He's still VERY young.
for anyone not familiar with what TEs we do have and when they expire....read this http://bbs.clutchfans.com/showthread.php?t=97270 JV is right....the 2.4M one expires on(after?) the 30th(31st?)..one year from the date of the Tmac trade....the other two still have some shelf life left. and no.,...you cant aggregate them with a player..
welsch is probably one of the most talked about pieces of garbage in the league. getting him would be like getting a better ball-handling version of boki snack-bar. i'll pass. hayes would be a nice pick up for small $. good shooter and athlete at the 2 or 3.
