Which team pulls the trigger first?

Chicago: They have a stingy owner trying to avoid the luxury tax. The moves they need to make aren't affected by the big name trades that have been discussed.

The first domino to fall will be Josh Smith. Then the rest will come.

    I don't know.

I think it'll be a disappointing deadline in some eyes. A lot of talk, little movement.

Hawes, Turner, B.Gordon, Henderson, Jennings, Boozer, Hamilton, Garnett, Pierce, Rondo, Jordan, Bledsoe, Smith, E.Gordon, Millsap, Jefferson, Shumpert, Howard, Gasol, Mozgov, Granger, Bargnani, Blair, Gortat, O'Neal, Ridnour, Hickson, and whoever else I missed.

How many of those guys are moved? Barely a handful, if that I think.

    I'll probably be wrong, ha

I don't think anything big happens till Josh Smith gets officially moved, then things will get rolling

I don't doubt that Smith will ultimately be the domino that gets the ball rolling and the trades will start flowing from there but, I don't expect a lot from this deadline. Owners are too scared of the new luxury tax and will prob wait it out until summer to start making some real moves. I'm sure a handful of teams will make trades (PHO, ATL, MIL) but I dont see any blockbusters coming this year.

I have to go with the Bulls too .... they just want to shed salary in Hamilton. That move doesnt really have any effect upon the potential big names moving.

Chicago. They're the only ones who aren't waiting for Atlanta to make a move.

Yeah, but they are waiting on the teams that are waiting in Atlanta.

I don't understand this sentiment. Team has cap space that it may need to fit some of Smith's contract. Those teams are same ones dealing with Chicago.

They may make first move, but they are definitely impacted by big moves.

Just under 20 hours left before trade deadline for stances to change, but mostly standing-pat rumbles coming from both Clipperland and Utah

    Standing pat...

Told Clippers are very likely to stick with what they have going forward and not be involved in any deals, significant or otherwise.

Since the Rockets deal so much, the amount of "Ex-Rocket Player WATCH" threads will increase. We've probably got more of those than any team in the league.
