It has nothing to do with 2 games, Brooks will ALWAYS be a poor defender, that is just a fact. He's probably in his prime right now, he's not going to get any quicker as he ages. He is not a starting PG on a contender, he is a 6th man IMO. Brooks and Martin can't coexist, you can't have this poor of a defensive backcourt and expect to be competitive in the West. Trade him while is value is high, or find an actual starting PG so he can come off the bench.
Yeah, I'm sure it has nothing to do with the two games. THat's why there are 9-10 similarly themed, stupid threads in the GARM, all started during this game. I guess you missed have been analyzing this idea for 3 months, and suddenly, by chance, finished your analysis in the middle of this game....
Your post is good, but your timing and thread title scream knee-jerk, and as a result you're not going to get too many serious replies. I hope I'm wrong, but people will come in to the thread with that attitude because of those two things.

i agree with you OP. you can't have martin and brooks starting at the same time. sure they can get hot and get you tons of points, but they are going to give up tons of points. and when they're not hot, they're going to get destroyed. i rather trade martin b/c brooks at least can create his own shot. but if we have to trade one of them for a legit go-to scorer, i would do it with no hesitation. curry and ellis are tearing these 2 a new one. it's embarrassing. you need defense if you want to be respectable in this league. it's non-existent in today's game. we need yao to recover fast so bad.
