i don't think anyone has brought this up -- if it has already been discussed, i apologize. it seems that everyone on this site is really high on cato right now. is that also the opinion of others around the league? if so, why not take advantage of this "hot streak" and get rid of him (and his contract) while we have the chance?
As logical as this idea of trading Cato is, unfortunately, CD and Rudy T feel that Cato is finally playing up to his (theres that word again) potential. Cd and Rudy are on record as saying that Cato has finally adjusted to playing the game, and that his effort has skyrocketed (no pun intended). Big men are a hot commodity in basketball, just like good pitching in baseball. I would wager that Cato probably could fetch the Rockets something decent, but it will take a great trade to get Cato away from the Rockets, seeing as how he is the only seven-footer (save Collier who can't get off the bench) that the Rockets have.
Cato does not have a good reputation outside of Houston, not that he has one in Houston. He will have to have a good 2-3 months, not just a good 2-3 weeks, for teams to take his "hot streak" for real.
Cato's not trade bait at all hes part of the future of the Rockets Deal with it. Cato's having his coming out party and were all invited to see
