If we take Ming. We will really be set at all posistions but small forward. Instead of drafting a scorer why dont we try to trade that pick and one of are three scoring powerforwards for a defensive speacialist like Ron Artest, Bruce Bowen, Doug Christie, what do you guys think?

I'd go with Artest. The other two will be pretty old once this team really gets it together but I completely agree with your thinking.

If Indiana didn't have the 14th pick we might have been able to offer Stoudamire for Artest,Doug Christie might be harder to get,Bruce Bowen might be available for the 15th pick if we get Hilario who can help out Duncan and Rose in the future in the front court, but I would want to get a better player at the 3 than him.

I would love to get Bruce Bowen. The one problem is Glen Rice, though. Bowen really wants a starting position, and I don't think Rudy T. will put Bruce Bowen over Glen Rice. Bruce Bowen is definitely better than Glen Rice, but it seems like the coach would go with the veteran.

I think Bowen is actually a free agent, so he wouldn't be overly difficult to get. However, the Pacers are very happy with Artest and the Kings absolutely won't trade Christie.

Is there anyone else out there that is a small forward that does not demand the ball but plays hard nosed defense?

Trade the pick to Dallas for Zhizhi Wang, pick Ming with
#1. Two young good front line players who will compete
with each other for contributing more.
