http://www.t-mac.com/tmac/blogDetail/239 Hey fans, it’s TMAC with a little request…don’t give up on us! Yes it is true, the big fella went down and we are all praying for a healthy recovery. Although our spirits are high during this win streak, losing a guy like Yao can really affect a team, especially one in the playoff hunt. We had a great team meeting the other day to discuss the injury and everyone wants to chip in and do what they can to fill those shoes…those are some BIG shoes though! We have some great veterans on our ballclub and having a guy like Deke (Dikembe Motombo) is a luxury not many teams have. He has been through the NBA wars and knows what it takes to fill a role and try to keep this team moving in the right direction. We are all pretty confident and winning 13 in a row has us playing our best basketball of the year. Seriously, we have not lost a game this month! I don’t know if that has ever happened in my career? The next two months will be one of the biggest challenges of my career and I feel like we will remain strong as a group and give it our best shot in the West. I’ll do my best to step up and lead the only way I know how. Thanks again for all of the support in the comments you all post for me. The website is a great new channel for me to interact with my fans…keep the comments coming. TMAC
Would it necessarily be a bad thing to hit the lottery this year? Without Yao, I doubt we will be able to get out of the 1st round this year. We will have a lot more $$$ in expiring contracts next year (to "Gasol" a player maybe), young talent on our team(Brooks, Landry), and a lottery draft pick. We would have the ability to make a MAJOR player acquisition next year. But then again, Tmac gets older and Yao might miss another 30 games with a fracture so maybe not.
Dude, the lottery is out of the question. We're already 3 games above the lottery spot, and this team is clicking. What would be the point of tanking? So we can add a mid-first round talent? For what? This team is built to win NOW. So let's f***ing win NOW. Fight the good fight!
the lottery is useless. we're not going to get a high pick even if we lose the rest of the games this season. lets not waste any of tmac's years by tanking, let the man fight and see what happens. we all should show our support for tmac and leave positive comments for him.
No one knows what will happen next season. Life will never be perfect! We have to live with pain. The most important thing in life is the process, not the result!
Why does everyone ignore Tmac and the amazing 20-10 stretch when Yao broke his leg last year? Nah, tha'ts not leadership. What is it going to take to get people on the Scola bandwagon. We have a legit, 18 and 10 guy starting, but obviously taking a seat to Yao all season. 11 points and 6 rebounds in 24 minutes a game in February. Take that to 35 minutes a game. Search youtube for Luis Scola. Sure its not the NBA, but its the same league Manu Ginobilli plays in! He already fits in nicely to an RA motion style offense. No Yao can't be replaced, but can we please see what we can do before screaming lottery?
"Its on me" And that worked out PERFECT Tmac is a bag of hot air with the occasional hole in it. I will believe it when I see it. He put up 11 points on DeShawn Stevenson...not exactly "leading" anyone in anything.
With HOW much help from Tmac? He encountered doubles only off Pick and Rolls which barely lead to any points because the help D covered the lane long enough for the 2nd man to roll back to his defensive assignment. TMac struggled and it was sad to see. He had 2 assists so dont say he made things happen on offense with his presence. I would take Rafers 13 5 5 over 11 6Rb 2ast any day. I am not a Tmac hater just a realist. He has lost a step and a half...its painfully apparent to watch a player who used to torch double teams succumb to picking up his dribble.
T-Mac is a great facilitator. He's gonna get doubled now that Yao is out. Time to make them pay with our other players. Watch for T-Mac's assist to go into double figures.
Well, that's the question. Is it diminished skill or diminished aggression (although he never had lots of the latter)? I believe it's the second. He may be a little slower, but his first step is still vey quick. He is just not willing to drive. I have the faith that the Rockets' assistants this year are former players who Tmac always talks to and seems to respect and if anyone can change his attitude about driving the ball, they can. Elston Turner was a feisty little dude. T.R Dunn was an all defense player. That dunk in the fourth quarter agaisnt the Wizards showed that he basically was asleep in the first 3 quarters, because as soon as the coaches talked to him in between quarters, he finally realized he wan't playing aggressive. Very disappointing to know that he has the capability but is unwilling to lay it out.
Okay MacLady, now go out and play some sufficating defense and help defense on the weak side. Please don't hurt yourself extending yourself to play D
Oh no, a bad game. Yep count on 11 points and 2 assists from here on out. But it doesn't happen to everyone...or does it?? Kobe's line 2/5...40 minutes, 3/13 shooting, 6 points, 7 turnovers.
gota feel bad for Tmac put aside all the crap Tmac has on his plate... his co stars keep going down...LOL
