I have some unbelievable news. According to Nbatalk, Tracy Murray wants to leave
    Washington.

"Murray Wants Out - According to the Washington Post: Tracy Murray wants to Put DC in his rear view mirror. And he's not being shy about it, either. 'When I left to come home, the day of my exit interview I shipped everything home or threw it in the garbage. I didn't plan on coming back,' the three-point specialist said. Murray is also holding Wiz Pres. Michael Jordan to his word that his Airness would help trade any player that didn't want to bethere. He has listed the Lakers and Clippers, who play in his hometown of LA, and Houston, where he helped lead the Rockets to their second straight championship as his desired landing spots."

This is great news for Rockets fans. He could bring the same defensive tenacity and blue collar basketball that he did back in 95 when the Rockets traded OT for him, and he lead us to our second championship. Maybe this year he can come back to Houston and rekindle some of that old magic from 95. He could solve all of our woes at SF. I say we package Walt and KT along with two first rounders for Tracy Murray.

I think Walt and drew would do fine.....But having a player with Walt's salary isn't in MJ's plans......But when Drew's contract ends, they get something out of it......

You either don't remember '95 too well, or don't know who Tracy Murray is. He's a poor man's Walt Williams.

    Sane,

I believe that Baqui99 is being sarcastic. At least I hope he is, because Murray sucks.

Baqui99, aka MJ, Why in the world would we want to trade Walt, KT and 2 first round picks for Tracy Murray whom we cut years ago? I wouldn't trade any one of the 4 pieces for him much less all of the above.

I'd trade Drew for Murray. That seems like a fair deal.

Drew & Walt for Murray is way too much.

Walt & KT + 2 first rounders for Murray is absolutely r****ded.

Guys, I think he actually got Tracy confused with Clyde during that trade.

Clyde was merely a throw-in that deal.

I could not stop laughing when I read that!!!! Wasn't Tracy Murray left off the playoff roster that year?

Tracy Murray "helped lead" us to our second straight championship! I love it! And Granville Waiters "helped lead" the Rockets to the Finals in 86! [IMG]

Thanks for the laughs, NBATalk! You made my day!

Murray's not bad, but we don't need him. I would rather have Sam Mack sans the drug charges.

The man is obviously joking with us, seeing from his "Clyde was merely a throw-in." [IMG]

Anyway, Tracy Murray is a decent player who averaged 14 points a game one season, but he's just a scrub IMO.

I wouldn't want him on the team, not even for free. As Freak said, he's a poor man's Walt Williams. Imagine what he would go through in Houston!

As for that one question, Tracy Murray was indeed left out of the playoff roster. Back then he was worthless and probably thrown in for salary cap purposes.

woops......since we're in the topic of small forards, is there absolutely NO WAY houston can get George Lynch?

Walt and drew?? Walt can come off the bench for them cause Kukoc will be the starter....possible?

    Dear Mikey,

    'Sup,Bra!

Ya know. We would be happy to take this Tracy Murray off your hands in a deal thang that I know you'll be able to sell to your homes.

We slip you Bryce Drew, Carlos Rogers (he's a great guy) and Jason Collier (talk to your legal poeple, we may have to call him a "player to be named later" or something) for this Murray guy, Obinna Ekezie (Ya know you have trouble even pronouncing his name, admit it, you dog)and Jahidi White.

Or we drop that African from Vancover and we just slip you some of dat trade exception. Ya. I know. You been dying to play with one of dem babies.

This is the biggies, air pal. Time to get at least one monsta-blockbusta deal in the crib before the start of the season. Show those Yankas up north you can walk the walk and flex with the best.

Call me. We'll do lunch. Ciao, babe.

    Hugs,

    CD

PSSSTT!!!! PSSSSSTTTT,Rude. Man, I think Mikey likes it. He ate the whole thing!!!!!!!

What?!?!?! You mean the Wizard's trade for Cherokee "Look mommy, my arm is shown on the front page of clutchcity.net!" Parks wasn't a blockbusta? I personally wouldn't mind sending Bryce to Washington to get Francis' good buddy Obinna Ekezie. Then again, getting anything for Drew would be nice. Could you shed some light on how soon Drew will be packing his bags?

We already have a guy that stands out at the 3 point line and never saw a guy he liked to guard. Matt Bullard.

For those who are still perplexed at the thought of someone actually wanting Tracy Murray back, this post was entirely sarcastic.

However, the Blazers' acquisition of Dale Davis for O'Neal and Kleine was not. The West just keeps gettin stronger. Let's compare Portland's frontcourt with our's:

    Sabonis
    Kemp
    D. Davis
    Wallace
    Schrempf
    Quitten

    Olajuwon
    Cato
    M. Taylor
    K. Thomas
    Collier
    W. Williams
    Langhi

I'm certainly not looking forward to our Portland games.
