Have your agent speak to John Weisbrod this morning. Tell him that you expect this trade with Houston to be resolved by the end of the day. Tell him that if it is not resolved by then, you will call a press conference Thursday morning at which you will announce that when your present contract expires next summer, no matter what team you have played for during the final year of that contract, you will sign your next contract with the Houston Rockets. I believe this is all the inspiration Mr. Weisbrod will need to complete the trade. Thank you.

I heard from a guy close to Francis, I'm not kidding, besides him ESPN has a link on their front page, the deal is done, but can't be made 100% official until after July 1st.
maybe if we could get someone of significance to confirm it, we'd rest a little easier. maybe if either of the teams had set a press conference yet, we'd all be feeling better.
Did your "guy close to Francis" say whether Francis was going to Orlando or being shipped to another team? And if it is done why are other papers reporting that it is not? ESPN reports it is near done. Florida Today, NY Times are reporting the Magic have cold feet. Which is it? Who do we believe? What is old news and what is the latest news? Hard to tell!
Anybody who thinks this is a done deal, doesn't know. The Rockets put the rumor on the front page of their website. This deal would have been announced if it went down. The deal is on hold. Something is sabotaging the deal. McGrady never demanded a trade to Houston. He has a short list of teams. Other players situations play into it. If we lose this deal it will hurt big time.
Apparently, McGrady already HAS done this. From the NYT article: "...McGrady is saying Houston is the only team he will stay with long-term."
He's being shipped to Orlando... Because it can't be "officially" announced until the conditions of Francis contract change, on July 1st.... All those news papers speculate, ESPN reports... The deal is on hold, until July 1st... Stop worrying about if McGrady is coming, and start worrying about if McGrady has been through a serious attitude adjustment.
Oh the horror...a player caring about where he is traded. This is forcing the Magic to deal exclusively with the Rockets if true, possibly making them lose out on a better deal somewhere else. McGrady's OK though...Francis, he's the devil.
