I won't even bother with the boring great D, great shooting, etc boring routine. Let's just focus on what he said on the post game interview. After having a monster game and hitting the game winning shot, the guy said "Yao set a good pick" and "Yao was aggressive and dominant early and opened things up for us" and "the guys played great." Among other gems include "you know, we're confident but I've been in a position up 3 - 1 in the series and it came back to haunt me." That SHOWS he matured. That SHOWS he had learned not to give the Mavs anything to build on. That SHOWS that he won't become another Kobe. If this guy is MeMac, hell, call me a MeMac fan.
Check out the Magic forum over at realgm if you want to get a laugh. Bunch of Magic fans just wondering what could have been...
One thing that kills me is that the analyst all had this opinion about Tracy the season long. Kenny, Barkley and Magic was saying that he IS NOW becoming a GREAT Winner, not just a Great Scorer.... Where have they been? Is it me or have this guy been doing this all year long? Which tells me that the only games they have watched on the Rockets were the games on TNT. T-Mac has been playing this way all year long....this is nothing new for us. It's now the whole team that's playing like DONS
yes, t-mac has been playing unbelievable all year long, but damn...you GOTTA see it's just another level of intensity, passion, and he's "HONGRY!!!"
My dad used to say all the time that he wondered how many more championships Michael Jordan would have won if he had played with a legitimate center instead of just a point-forward. Well, dad, here's your chance to find out.
The intensity is the difference. During the season, he would drop our jaws and make us shake our heads. With the intensity that he displayed last night, he's got the whole team jacked up and we are jumping out of our Lazy Boys and hollering at the top of our lungs, hoping he can hear us up in AAC. Toyota Center will be rocking and if he maintains this intensity, the roof will come off the place.
I love his quote in the AP article about the Rox "not having done anything yet." When I buzzer sounded I watched the team, and scrubs like Moochie jumped up and down and ran around like we won the championship. But guys like Dikembe and T-Mac calmly walked off with a stoic looks on their faces. T-Mac is mature now -- no doubt.
Scottie Pippen was a great player. Both of them are top 50 in NBA history. He had a lot of shooters and great defenders around him (Oakley, Kerr, Paxson, Rodman, Horace Grant (all star)
TMac usually has a rather sleepy look in the eyes; but, tonight he had the look of an asassin in his eyes. He was stone cold focused and the intensity was skyhigh. I LOVE THIS GUY !!!
one of my favorite images from last night game is when deke and t-mac were walking off the court together deke was waving off people trying to clear a path ---it just looked like to me like dont mess with my boy or you gonna feel the wrath of Mutombo.
yep, i told my bf that tmac is my second bf. i'm in love with him! he makes me absolutely speechless with some of his shots!! and that look of an assasisn is so true. i would hate to be our opponent, i'd be fearing him!! i was saying that last night too...watch out, when he has those eyes, it's all over!!! we sure are lucky!
