already discussed during playoff run when he showed up on the bench. He got pudgy and thats not a good sign.
I don't think it is too much to worry about, considering that he hasn't been able to work out at all for a decent time now. I'm pretty positive that he will be able to get back into basketball playing shape real soon after he comes back. Besides, it doesn't look like he gained that much weight based on the photos. Also, hard to tell.
I notice that he looks a little fuller in the face, but that's about it. He's wearing a suit. Oh man...the season needs to start already.
He has been working out with Tim Grover. The best trainer in the world can't get a person in shape, if they eat more than they burn. While there are plenty of skinny people, who don't work out. It's all about the calories.
you've got to be kidding me....the guy just barely started doing very very light stuff...there's no way he can be in any kind of shape right now, especially when he spent the first few weeks after surgery sitting down or laying down most of his day..... And he's got a beard, he's always looked fatter when he has a beard....everytime there's a Tmac is fat thread he's got that beard... Finally, he's wearing a big ass suit..... rolleyes:
If I can look like that when i'm pudgy, I'd be happy. Most of all can't even manage this kind of look when we're pudgy. Stop complaining, I think he looks alright for a guy who's been out of game-shape for over half a year.
Pretty sure TMAC hasn't been able to do any cardio until recently. Athletes are used to burning a lot of calories and they consume a lot of calories to maintain a constant body weight. It's hard to change eating habits, so if a player maintains his normal diet but is all of a sudden unable to burn calories at the same rate as before due to injure, it's only natural that the player is going to put on some weight. I'm sure TMAC has indeed been working out, rehabbing and strengthening the knee. But I don't think he's been allowed to really put the knee to the test until recently. So even though he was working out, he still wasn't able to burn calories like he would if he were fully healthy and in game shape.
is he even cleared to do intense work outs? i doubt it, its really not a big deal but i guess if you already hate tmac, you're opinion wouldn't change anyways
